Lovely weekend, quite chilled. OH and I went out last night which resulted in a £35 spend, not too bad really....however this is out of a budget which is spent for this month. Why is it that even now when we are more or less at DF status does one night out send us into the red? Additionally it was my birthday this weekend and OH bought me a couple of pressies (nothing mega major but still £'s we've not really got). No doubt I find out how much he spent when things show up on the CC statement:o and have the juggle stuff to sort it out.
Looking forward to the end of term this friday and some time off the threadmill of kids stuff......

Blimey Beanie, when did they break up?? do they get 6 weeks? Ours don't finish officially till 23rd July but we are taking them out 4 days early on the 20th. they go back 1st week in September.
I love the 6week hols- when they were little it was a juggle but I would just do 2 days a week and we would have lots of picnics and days out, now that they are older its great in a different way, I get a lay in twice a week and get to go into work early and finish about 3 to build up my flexi -love it!CC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
Sorry, I am confused. What is this "lay in" of which you all talk? It is not something I have ever encountered I feel :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Blimey I thought our broke up early on the 15th , they've got 6 and a bit weeks off. I used to find it hard but I think I've just about got the balance right between working, doing 'nice' and 'big' days out, stay at home days and getting the stuff like shoes, uniform etc organised.
Lay in's are unknown in the WHDFW household as well I might say.....Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
hahaha, it will arrive one day ladies I promise! I keep to the 6.45 starts for the 1st couple of weeks but by week 4 we are nicely chillaxed! DS2 doesn't surface till dinnertime some times! then I have to start setting the alarm to try and get them back into getting up again.
Beanie I think its fab yours break up early - we usually get a decent July and a wet August plus you will be able to beat the travel agents & their inflated prices - wish we could! cgxCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0
