Thanks HTBDF they do need the bits to help prevent them getting burnt. They're very fair skinned and its a price worth paying.

Great joy I finally got a payout on TCB. £78 is winging its way to me. This will be used to pay for HOYS tickets which I bought and promised my DD for getting a good school report. I'm not sure that I'd planned how I was going to pay for these so that's a plus.

The S/O's all come out tomorrow so our bank balance goes from Wheyhey to zero more or less. Quite a few moves required to change my spending diary from red (oustanding items) to green (all sorted bought and paid for) but I can do that tomorrow. Super sad isn't it but that what's it takes.

OH has been pursuaded that we can do a few days away in October. I'm just waiting for him to confirm his annual leave is booked and then I will book it. It hard to believe that we'll go away twice and a family in one year :o:):T

Now going to tackle getting two very tired lads into bed. School trips today, so much excitement and fun but has left me with very cranky boys.

Must start to get organised for the school hols and our hols.....

Another two months off the mortage by overpaying it. This means that we're now down to 10 years exactly. I can't quite work out the reduction rate since it appears to be more than 1 month per £500 overpayment and for the last couple its been two months. Heck who cares its less debt isn't it.

    Here comes the weekend....

I suppose the less you owe the less the interest & it will reduce the term more & more.

Wow! thats really impressive - I don't know how long we have left on our mortgage, think its 16 or 14 years - I should know really shouldn't I! its not due for renewal till next Aug and is fixed at a whopping 6.29%!!! Mind you, our first house the mortgage was 16%!!!!Gutted when I think how much I could have been overpaying cgx
