Just had our mortgage letter to say fixed term ending we will save 80 quid good stuff thats 80 quid more towards reducing numbers yipeeee

CG - We had a mortgage once up at 15% and it went into negative equity. At the time OH worked for a bank so we had a midish chunk of it a 5% but it still felt massive. Great drop though CG so enjoy it whilst it lasts. Our Fix ends in December and for the present we're planning to stay on the the SVR which will be lower than we're on at present and we can overpay more per month.
HTBDF - Well done on the £80 pm drop. You're so right that £80 can make such a difference.
OH did is promised holiday spend last night on line. £150c but I guess he only does clothes shopping a couple of times per year. So thats a good chunk of the expenses money going? Never mind at least there is money to cover it....
OH announced tonight that his main car (aka toxic asset) needs a service next week and his hobby car (aka could have been a ski holiday) is due an MOT the following week! I've just booked us a week away in October............very excited.......very scary having a second proper break....a great big luxury given we're not quite DF but..........some saving required big stylie...
I've upped the holiday budget, tweaked with a few other bits now that the school year is finishing. Not only is it scary having booked the break but we are also taking the hound!!!!!! That will be an experience.

Day off today so I took the DS's to school which was nice. On the way back I decided that I'm going to pay for the October holiday by ebaying and MBing again. Its about time I pulled my finger out and got on with it. I've been 'talking' about ebaying on here for ages and yet done nothing so here goes....

In October we're going to the coast. No doubt it will be cold, wet and windy but we've got a nice house there and it will be off the treadmill for some quality family time....with the hound of course
