Rearranging my living rooms to accomodate a tree... so far I have nearly killed myself moving a huge sideboard.. full of gubbins because I couldnt be bothered emptying it.. then I made lunch.. lol... not a lot of progress but I have 3 trashed rooms now and about to paint an alcove!!

Hope Kelpie is ok today HB. Hello everyone.
First shift at paid stuff done & was manic. I have done a dog walk and the dailies but can't summon up the enthusiasm for flying. Think I'll have a cuppa and read the paper before next shift.

A flat I had my eye on that went on sale yesterday is already sold! blimey it was below the market price and needed some work but that was fast.

A couple of things successfully crossed off the top of the work to-do list, and a few more added to the bottom.
Bathrooms cleaned, although floors will have to wait for another day.
Car insurance quotes looked at.
DH and I are supposed to be going out for a meal tonight as he won a voucher. Is it so bad that what I really want to do is to stay in the warm and dry with my pjs on? We never go out, so I really ought to be more enthusiastic.:(

Lots of cleaning done today, vacuum died after I started upstairs (I like to clean downstairs first, as visitors don't tend to go upstairs often, so the house still looks clean if I don't get round to it) I don't know if its just the fuse or its given up the ghost, I'l get bf to investigate tomorrow.
Scooter has been fixed, battery connection screw keeps coming lose (screw thread is worn) £1.04 for a new one. Nice easy fix.
Meters read & readings submitted. My gas meter is on 9992 and about to tickover to zeros. I've never had one go all the way round before, so I've found it oddly exciting.


Monday ~ Grotty Kitchen and Gloomy Dining Room
Level One...
Declutter and mop[STRIKE]/vacuum the floors[/STRIKE]
Level Two...
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly
[STRIKE]Clear and wipe a shelf or window sill[/STRIKE]
Level Three...
[STRIKE]Sort through and clean out one cupboard[/STRIKE]
Clean the oven[STRIKE] and hob.. [/STRIKE]
Extras

• Don't forget any cards and presents posted!
• Wash the windows
• Clean the top of the kitchen wall units.. if you can reach.. no accidents please!!
• [STRIKE]Dust and Deweb[/STRIKE]

Christmas Extras

• Finalise those last minute presents you have to buy.. Got something for Granma, just Dad left, and I'm stumped.
  
• Wrap all the presents for family/friends

Tuesday ~ Luscious Living Room, hallway, stairs

Wash the windows
Level Three...
Wipe the sofas and wash any skanky soft furnishings
Wipe the paintwork in the hallway and up the stairs.

• Check the smoke alarms
• Fill a binbag for charity shop
• [STRIKE]Defluff and deweb these rooms[/STRIKE]
  
  Christmas Extras
• [STRIKE]Christmas wrapping, try and get at least a few done[/STRIKE]

Thursday ~ Master messroom! and landing
Level One...
[STRIKE]Strip the bedding and get it washed![/STRIKE]
Level Two...
[STRIKE]30 minutes floordrobe/junk clearing![/STRIKE]
Vacuum and turn the mattress, vacuum[STRIKE] the landing[/STRIKE] and floor Managed the landing before the vacuum died.
[STRIKE]Remake the bed[/STRIKE]
Clean the windows
Level Three...
Wash any curtains/etc that are in need
Wipe down all the furry paintwork

Extras

• [STRIKE]Collect all the dirty laundry from upstairs[/STRIKE]
• Clean out any pets/wash pet bedding
• Wash some light shades

Christmas Extras

• [STRIKE]Make a timetable for christmas prepartions.. turkey in.. turkey out.. etc[/STRIKE]
• [STRIKE]Spend 30 minutes just having time for yourself, whatever it is doing, because we probably won't have time next week[/STRIKE]
• Chase up any deliveries you are waiting for that have not arrived
• [STRIKE]Update remaining present lists[/STRIKE]

Evening all, afraid I've done nothing but sleep most of the day today. I've been doing my volunteer driving the past few days and it's taking it's toll on me now.

Still tomorrow I intend to Hoover through the house and do a quick tidy up as we have company coming at teatime.

Card swap cards received from Narcolepsy, Piggers, roundtuit, fayolle, Frodders and Ionafan

Condolences Pigpen
Hope Kelpie is well now.

As predicted,this week has been chaos with wallpaper man arriving by 8.30 each morning and everything in the house seems to be in the wrong place and either covered in dust sheets or dust. Still, he should finish today so we can start the re-homing everything and focus on Christmas. Aim for today:

Finish one report and make good progress with another
Finish cards. I posted all the overseas ones yesterday and most UK ones. I have about 5 to friends that I've written and left open to add a letter.
Start knitting something I rashly and spontaneously decided to do for a gift for Mr N.
Continue with the lists and menu plans I'd started.
