Have a look at the vegan options. As a confirmed omnivore, some of them are very nice. And definitely cheese free.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Indian veggie curries are fab, n cheese free .I agree that a lot of pub chains and restaurants have really limited veggie options. It's ridiculous in this day and age :(
Our local Indian curry house does a cracking veggie curry with paneer in it too!

Yea I bet it does. I'm not a fan of paneer though :D

I thought the OP's point was that there was solely a cheesy option. Which this isn't.

TBH, I think unless an establishment is specifically set up as being Veggie-friendly, it's expecting a lot for them to have multiple Veggie and Vegan options that exclude cheese (and presumably some more that exclude Nuts, Sesame, etc. etc.)

For heavens sake, just because they were offering a " good deal" to the masses, why did you think you would be part of that.

It's mostly " ding" food in a pub.

As over a dozen pubs close every week in the UK, I would have thought that it makes good business sense to attract any prospective customer and maybe persuade them to make a return visit by providing a reasonable choice of food?

Though it is frustrating at the lack of choice sometimes, things are getting better. As long as they continue to improve, we should be fine.

I spotted a new burger bar in town, with not one, but two different vegan burgers. Proper ones, not just putting a mushroom in a bap and calling it a burger. (Unfortunately not a chain, so I won't link it). They also do beef, chicken or turkey burgers for the meat-eaters, so it's definitely not some 'veggie' restaurant that the meat-eaters groan at when you suggest it.

It's how it should be - there are more flexitarians, vegetarians and vegans in the UK than ever before, and those that cater for us well will prosper, and those that don't will become the topic of a 'millennials are killing...' story.

I suppose they think it doesn't make good business sense to offer vege choices that might not all sell then they are stuck with leftovers they have to throw away.

Nah, it's actually really easy for pub-grub places to have LOADS of veggie options if they want. The food is mostly frozen and just reheated anyway. They defrost popular things that sell well to reduce cooking times, but at least 50% of the menu is frozen. I used to work in one.

They're not closing because of the lack of veggie options.
