Vegetarians eat more than cheese

I have been out for a few meals lately and every menu has had vegetarian options, all of which were cheese dishes.
One well known store has 1 option (macaroni cheese)
A restaurant I visited had 30 options for meat and fish eaters, and 3 cheese dishes for vegetarians (bizarrely the salmon dish was marked as vegetarian)
I shall stay at home from now on, obviously my money is not wanted.
Don't get me wrong I like cheese, just not for every meal.

Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Most places have their menus online, so while you are sitting at home wallowing in self pity you can use the time to do some research so that the next time you do venture outside you can pick a place that has food that suits you.0

Somewhere that I go quite regularly has a Vegan Nut Roast, 2 Veggie Pizzas (with Vegan cheese option) and a Veggie Burger amongst other things...
Even Subway and McDs have non-cheesy Veggie options.
In fact, I can't remember the last time I went anywhere that didn't cater for veggies - maybe KFC, but that kind of says so on the tin.0 -
Indian veggie curries are fab, n cheese free .I agree that a lot of pub chains and restaurants have really limited veggie options. It's ridiculous in this day and age

When it is your friends choice as they are organizing the event I go
However I never invite friends to eat Chinese as most dislike it.

I always find every vegetarian dish has a mushroom in it!0

I think there are many very average cafes.
Where I live they are struggling to earn a living.
Gorgeous vegetarian food is off the menu
I'm not vege or vegan but would prefer to eat good meat free food.
Unless you live in a big city , expect to be treated like a freak.
I also am amused that in my small town, telling people you are vege is akin to having two heads.
Don't feel aggrieved, just be more selective.0 -

Some people just can't help themselves can they? My friend (meat eater) and myself (vegetarian) were trying to decide where to have lunch the other day. Local pub had what seemed like a really good lunch offer on - 2 meals for the price of 1 - choose from their "Festive Menu". When enquiring what their festive offer was for vegetarians I was offered macaroni cheese. We put our coats on and went to the local Chinese buffet.0 -
These are the Christmas Veggie options from the place I mentioned above. Shows what can be done...MARGHERITA PIZZA
Tomato pizza sauce base topped with mozzarella
NUT ROAST
A vegan root julienne of vegetables with pockets of apricot, cranberries, sage & speckles of chopped cashews topped with a mixed seed, walnut, flaked almond & cranberry granola topping
PARSNIP TART WITH CHEDDAR PASTRY
A maize pastry crown stuffed with a parsnip, spinach & leek mix combined in a rich cheese sauce and topped with a herbed breadcrumb

Average " microwave operators" can't even reheat vege food.
Don't get mad, communicate ..0 -

For heavens sake, just because they were offering a " good deal" to the masses, why did you think you would be part of that.
It's mostly " ding" food in a pub.0
