So is DD almost finished uni for the year? DS3 has an exam at the end of next week and then he's officially finished for the year, but he may stay on for a bit to hang out with his friends. I do wonder sometimes what he's paying £9200 a year for .
Haha, yes, now you've mentioned it the peace lily scene comes to mind.
She's finished lectures and just has a couple of assignments that need to be in by the end of the month and that's it, done and dusted. Doesn't seem 2 minutes since she went. She could move back home now but she's paid rent for halls until end of June so it would be like paying for nothing.
Not sure what will happen though because she wouldn't want to be there on her own and people seem to be drifting off. We'll have to see.
Uni sent an e-mail round to everybody informing them if they vacate their rooms a week early they'll get a rent refund of £125. I think the accommodation is used for something over summer. All her flat mates took the offer up so she did as well, so she's definitely got to come home for a week before moving into the house anyway.
Interestingly, out of the 7 in her flat (all obviously doing different degrees), one has put theirs on hold for a year as they're finding it stressful - outside factors also involved, another is repeating the year because they don't feel they know enough to move on, another has decided to change course totally and one has gone off to Ibiza for the summer and according to DD is unlikely to return. Which leaves DD and 2 others who are happy with what they're doing and getting good grades, although apparently one is getting through her course with the help of drugs - the illegal kind
That turned into a waffle didn't it, but it intrigues me how things pan out for people who all started off doing the same thing only 9 months ago.
How's it going with the lease for DS? xx0 -
Hope DD is feeling better soon

Thank you GPS
You really can't beat a Tunnocks Teacake. I could eat my way through a whole box but was very good and stuck at one, even though it was an extra special celebration

I can believe it Beanie. DD had to do a presentation with 2 other people and one of them only properly got on board the last week. DD was furious because her and the other person had done all of the work so she e-mailed her tutor and told him how it was. Don't blame her tbh. She's dead easy going but won't be taken advantage off.

Hi Tea, I haven't been around much for the last few weeks and haven't properly caught up but just wanted to stop by and say hi!
Sounds like your daughter is the right balance between kind and not being taken advantage of. Good for her - I'd have emailed the tutor too. Why should someone else pass the module based on her and the other student's hard work?
Hope all is well in your camp.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

Sorry to hear DD is under the weather tea. My GD just finished her final year and she picked up so many bugs on her way. My friend blamed nights out, but GD told me she hadn't eaten veg in 3 months. I was sworn to secrecy. I sent her back to uni with huge box of fruit and veg and a Tesco voucher.
Well done on the credit card I'm so pleased you, what an achievement. Your pots are now for fun and treats. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230
