Day 4/28, 3/15 NSD's, Prolific £5.41 cleared, £1.67p pending, Cash £17.75 for 1st-7th Feb
Need to confess a slight miscalculation on the pots again...... well it wouldn't be the same diary if I could add up properly would it :rotfl: I'd already put £5 into the theatre pot so there's actually £11 in there. This is the pot I need to focus on over the next few weeks as I want £100 in there by the end of June to cover what I borrowed for the tickets.
Had to get some petrol and a little top up shop today so I didn't spend any of my money but got some more points for RH and Shoppix :T
DS got an excellent mark in an English exam a few weeks ago and on the back of that a small group of students have been invited to go on a creative writing residential weekend which he's thrilled about. Think he has visions of himself as Noel CowardAs well as the writing workshops there'll also be some outdoor activities like canoeing, climbing etc. It's going to cost £100 for 2 nights and it's in the Lake District. He's not the sort that would contemplate going on any trips abroad so I'm really glad he's got the chance to do this. I don't need to account for it, as it'll come out of the joint account.
Hope you've all had a good Monday. Weather back to normal here up north - it's rainingxx

Thanks Beanie. He can be a bit lacking in self confidence at times so it's given him a boost.
I've spent most of the evening messing about with forms and id etc. for being DD's guarantor when she moves out of Uni and into a house in summer. What a faff. Hasn't helped they want everything scanning over and we all know what I'm like with technology. One lot of stuff has been sent back already because it was blurredAny more problems and I'm sticking it in an envelope and sending it by pigeon.
I've actually found the whole thing quite stressful, not least because hubby is also messing around with the new TIVO box and I've had a running commentary for the past hour about why it's not working. He's still yakking at me as I type this. But being a woman I can multi-task and while typing I am also making appropriate 'interested' noises :rotfl: Will be glad to get into bed tonight. xx0 -
Morning All
Day 5/28, 3/15 NSD's, Prolific £5.41 cleared, £1.67p pending, Cash £17.75 for 1st-7th Feb
Coffee day today. Not sure I'll be spending anything as the only things on the list at the moment are joint account purchases so unless I see something I might come back with what I set out with.
I need to remember to get DS's pocket money out of the bank. He gets it on the 1st but I forgot to withdraw it and I need to do that so I know where I'm up to.
I've also been thinking about my Monday round up. I've realised it only worked in January because Monday fell in line with me getting my spends. I need to do my round up on the first date of each new week whatever day it is, as that's when I top my pots up with any leftovers. So this months round ups will be on Fridays. Makes sense to me
Hope you all have a good day. x0 -
Well done to your son - what a great result and a fantastic opportunity for him
I do love a bit of creative writing, something to really get absorbed in.

Thanks HG, after the exam his English teacher rang me to say she hadn't seen a piece of writing that good for a while. I was so proud of him. I definitely need to do the weekly round up on whatever day the new week starts or I'm going to get myself in all sorts of mess, plus keep having to count the pots doesn't really appeal. :rotfl:kindofagilr wrote: »Well done to your DS! that sounds fab!! xx
Thank you K. We are definitely English orientated in this household rather than maths - as you may already have noticed with my miscalculation confessions :cool:WannabeFree wrote: »Well done to DS is sounds amazing!

I managed it eventually WB but there was a point when I was tearing my hair out and nearly ringing DD to tell her she had to stay in halls as it was easier for me :rotfl: Coffee was good, as always. I'm not paying for any of it this month either which is even better. xx0
