Evening Everybody

Thought I'd pop back on as it's the start of a new month. I'm shocked to see my last post was 19th April. I'm smiling at my last comment being about DS spending a good chunk of the day in bed, not much has changed there over the past 14 weeks.
DD is still home with us. Noises were made on Wednesday about her moving back to her house but she said she didn't feel like packing up so she'd stay a couple more days. I'm so glad she did as we live in the area where the announcement was made Thursday evening that visiting relatives in their house isn't allowed for the time being.
Money wise I'm still doing surveys and scanning receipts although there haven't been that many to scan. My pots are still up and running but I've re-jigged some and combined others. We've had a birthday experience and a theatre trip cancelled since lock down and while the money was refunded without any problem I don't feel inclined to pay up front for anything else at the moment so I've put the Christmas experience money into the general Christmas pot. I'll have a count up and list all my pots tomorrow.
We finally got back to the caravan. We were given 2 options regarding site fees that we'd paid. The first was to have a refund for the weeks we couldn't go during lock down, but if we chose that they wouldn't re-let our pitch to us and we'd have to leave in November when the season usually ends. The second option was no refund but they're extending their season from November to mid Feb so we can still use it for the same amount of time we would have done. We're happy to go for the extension because we enjoy going and I don't want to lose our spot, but I don't think the first option is a particularly fair one. I've no idea what will happen if we go into some sort of lock down again during the winter months but we'll just have to see.
The only other big news is we have a poorly doggie who I don't think will be with us much longer and Mum is having chemo so a lot of time has been taken up with hospital appointments etc. Apart from that life is just ticking over as normal. Hope you're all keeping well and lock down hasn't been too stressful for you. xx

Very unfair option 1 by the site owners.
Poor doggie & poor you
Hope you can continue to support your mum & take care of you.
That was good that your DD did not go back.xx

Yes, option 1 isn't really an option is it, unless people were thinking of leaving in November anyway.
I'll have to ring the vet on Monday and speak to her. I've already discussed her coming to the house when it was time so he could be in his own surroundings, but I don't think that will happen now because of the new rules we're under.
Although the garden was also mentioned which is enclosed but I'll have to see what she says.
Yes, for once I'm glad she was feeling lazy and couldn't be bothered to pack her bags lol. It's going to be hard when she leaves again, I've got used to having her home. xx

Evening

Just had to check how I used to do this to keep track of myself

Day 2/31, Prolific £2.07 cleared, £2.50 outstanding, Week 1 spends £30
Shoppix: 2705/3200 RH: 542/1500
Savings: £170
DS Savings: £80
Dogs: £40
Hair: £30
Christmas: £170
Birthdays: £90
Paypal: £52.86
There were more pots pre lock down but I’m not saving up for anything like theatre tickets or a Christmas experience now. The caravan pot has also gone. The only money we spend is on fish and chips so that comes out of my spends and we take turns to pay. Charity is also ticking away in the background.
Surveys have been pretty good and there have been plenty of questions about Covid! So far this year I’ve made £150.68 and out of that there’s £52.86 in the account.
The next big spend is going to be DS's uniform but I'm loathe to buy anything just yet because I want to be sure they're going back. And if there's any talk of part time I think they only thing I'd buy are trousers and shoes.
It's been just right weather wise here today. Much better than the oppressive heat on Friday. Hope you've all had a lovely Sunday. xx

Hi HHD
Lovely of you to pop in. So far Mum is doing OK and touch wood she's had no side effects. Just praying it stays that way.
I think we're going to have to say goodbye to our fluffy friend this week.
I'd really like the vet to come here but waiting until that can happen isn't fair so we're prepared for having to go to the vet. He's actually DD's dog so that's another reason I'm glad she's still at home. She'd be devastated if she couldn't be with him at the end.
Aww, 6 months is a long time and I know how much you love having your boys at home. I don't think DD will be here much longer, she wants to get back and settled into a routine and as much as she loves being home she says she misses being at the house with her friends and her independence! Have to say she's happily slipped back into the dependent role of me cooking, cleaning, washing and waiting on her lol. xx

Hi Labmum
Lovely to hear from you. I was going to leave coming back until September when normality is supposed to resume with DS back at school and DD back at Uni but I'm not totally convinced that will happen so here I am a month early lol. The prognosis for Mum isn't great but we're all staying positive and we just take each day as it comes. Thankfully she's doing well at the moment. Sadly, our furry friend is a different matter
Yes, the pots are still up and running. I think they are well and truly part of my MSE identity.
