  • It might help if we can survive until June, but that's a long time. I hope DH can still get some work in but I dont' know how some poor people will survive :(. It's not ideal.

Morning NMC :) We're all good thanks. I've totally limited my trips out and hubby will go for any food, medications etc. not that we need anything imminently.

It brought a lump to my throat as well. We're a friendly bunch where we live and always stop for a chat with the neighbours if we see them, but it's generally so quiet around here you can hear a pin drop.  I didn't expect to hear anything when I opened the door.

Hope you're all doing OK and looking after yourselves. xx

    Afternoon :)

    Day 27/31, Prolific £7.02 cleared, 84p pending, Spends £32

The £30 survey cleared yesterday so I cashed out. Then I got another one with bonus payments which gave me another £5.90. Also a couple of C-19 ones have come through which are interesting. So far I've made £57.16 this month. Doubt I'll repeat that any time soon, if ever.

I've stopped all trips out now unless they are absolutely necessary and for me this doesn't even include picking up food and medication because hubby is happy to do that, although for now we don't need anything. I'm OK in the house, he tends to go a bit stir crazy. We can walk around here without passing anybody so I've donated my daily exercise session to him. Not the official thing to do I know but to be honest I'd rather one person went out and picked something up than several of us going out to different places and possibly catching something. My exercise is housework, some walking around the garden and a few 'proper' exercises.

Apart from that everything is just carrying on as normal here. Hope you're all keeping well and managing to get hold of everything you need to make all this as comfortable as possible for yourselves. Take care. xx

  • You are doing well TF2 on the surveys :)

I'm like your DH and get stir crazy but gardening is helping a bit 🌷🌱. I can't wait to go out tomorrow though. It's nice of you to donate your walk to your hubby. As long as your neighbours dont' complain he's going out twice 😱. Police in my town have had loads of people ringing up to complain their neighbour has gone for two daily runs instead of one, or that type of thing 😱 .

Thanks HHD :) The typing was definitely a good one but even without that I've had some good ones through this month.

Oh blimey, Big Brother is alive and kicking. I genuinely don't see the problem if you live in a very isolated or quiet area which we do unless they're not telling us the truth and it can be picked up just by being outside. 1 walk x 4 people or 4 walks x 1 person is still the same result. The rest of us are quite happy to stay indoors so I feel we're minimising the risk anyway and hubby seems happy to be the nominated person for going to get things should we need them.

I would definitely not do this but in theory I could go for my daily walk, then go to the shop because I need food, then take something to Mum who can't get out because she's self isolating as she's in the at risk group. It's still based on people being sensible and reducing the risk element as much as possible. I feel for people who still have to cram themselves on tubes and don't even get me started on the idiots who think holding a BBQ for family and friends is a good idea!

The weather is definitely helping isn't it. Even being able to open the windows and french doors is making a massive difference to our mood. Hope you're all doing well. xx
  • You could go out several times a day with a different excuse each time. I could walk to work, then go out again for my exercise and then go out again to buy food. Although I suspect the police would expect me to combine all of these trips!

I hope neighbours aren't going to be spending too much time spying and complaining about each other, as that doesn't do much for community feeling! The police said they didn't want to tell people not to ring up and shop their neighbours, but not to expect them to arrive with flashing lights for each complaint 😂.
