At least you''ll see DD sooner than you expected. Awful for the full time restaurant workers and nursery staff. How will people pay their bills? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

That's true HHD although as the weeks go on with us all cooped up together I may move out and into her house

I've no idea what people will do but they must be really worried. It's not as though many people have something in the barn these days either is it. It's hard enough living day to day without this sort of thing happening
I know you said DH doesn't have much work on at the moment. Is it because of this or is it just a quiet time of year anyway? xx 2 -
DH doesn't have much work on partly due to the time of year, partly because he's been feeling low lately and partly because of the virus I think. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Sorry to hear he's feeling low. I don't expect the uncertainty of everything is helping is it. Maybe you being at home will help him a little bit. xxHairyHandofDartmoor said:DH doesn't have much work on partly due to the time of year, partly because he's been feeling low lately and partly because of the virus I think.2 -

Morning All

Day 23/31, Week 4, Spends £32, Prolific 18p pending, Shoppix 1595/3200, RH 1157/1500
I'm trying to stay in some sort of daily routine now there's no school so I'm up and dressed but DS is still in bed
Not sure that's quite how it should be working lol.
Hoping the PM's announcement last night will help the more vulnerable who can't get out for food and medicines although it will be interesting to see how it works. From the lack of thought for others regarding stockpiling I have a feeling once the word 'free' was mentioned suddenly nobody will have any friends, family or neighbours who can help them and the service will be overwhelmed with requests.
Been reading this morning that a certain well known pet store has said their staff are key workers. One Headteacher isn't happy about that but I'm torn. Pets need feeding and they'll continue to need treatment at the vets. I wouldn't like to make the call on that one.
In money news I have to admit I completely lost track of what I spent last week what with one thing and another. All I know is there's not much left in the purse. I'll work it out properly later on and update the pots but for now I'm just starting over with my weekly spends.
Hope you're all staying well. Have a good day. xx

So, I had £11.05 left over from last week. £1.05 has gone to charity and £5 each to theatre tickets and birthdays. When I was going through the ‘pots’ I was thinking about some of them and the C-19 situation.
Hairdressers - Can’t think of many more things that are up close and personal than having your hair cut and your face is one of the things they’re stressing you shouldn't touch. Will they be closing soon as well.
Dog grooming - They’ve just been done but I wonder if in 3 months time people will be confident about going in and out of houses.
Theatre tickets - Booked for July but will theatres, pubs, clubs and restaurants will be open again by then?
School Uniform – Doubt I'll need to buy summer polo shirts this year.
Savings – Will I have to use these to trade for flour and eggs on the black market

Pots are now looking like this:
Savings £50
Dogs £0
DS £30
Xmas £43
Xmas Meal £40
Hairdressers £15
Charity £2.05
Tickets £65
Birthdays £54.50

Hope you're all doing okay Tea.
It's definitely scary times isn't it.
I think it's good to keep some routine. Me and the smalls came up with a plan together and I'm pretty sure DS would have chosen the get up time to be much later

I think hairdressers and those sort of non-essential businesses may be forced to close next and even if they aren't they won't be getting much business. I personally wouldn't want to go to the hairdresser right now as you can hardly keep two metres away 🤔.
I wonder if DS will want a routine or whether he'll be ruled by serendipity from now on 🤣.
Have a good day TF2

We're all OK thanks, hope you are as well. Have to say while I think I've been responsibly aware of the situation but carried on as normally as possible with life, the hospital scenes from abroad this weekend have shaken me. I doubt I'd make a comeback with my underlying condition so I've upped my isolation a couple of notches and will really be asking myself if I need to go out from now on. Having said that I don't think it'll be long before we're all told to stay in anyway.
I'm really not bothered about any routine in official school hols but this is different. There's no way I can let DS do what he wants for 6 months but I don't expect him to sit at the table for 6 hours every day either. This morning he's been working on a science and maths booklet they sent home and has got quite a bit done. I'm also taking the opportunity to throw some life skills in as well. He's washed up - first time ever probably! and helped hubby in the garden - can't say either of them really enjoyed the experience lol.
Have a lovely day. xx2
