Oh blimey, that sounds colourful and as though a boater should go with it :rotfl: We're very subdued in this neck of the woods. Black blazer, black trousers and white shirts/black polo shirts. Oh and shoes have to be proper shoes and to
make sure they meet the grade, the soles are inspected.

They say schools are going downhill but me and hubby can remember getting away with a lot more back in the day than DS does. xx

    Afternoon :)

    Day 12/31, Prolific £3.98 cleared, Spends £18.33

Had a bit of a spend over the weekend. Took Mum out for coffee on Saturday, where scones with jam and cream may have fallen into our mouths :rotfl: Then I bumped into my niece back at her house so I slipped her a cash treat. Then there was something at church.

I’ve been going through cupboards and wardrobes over the past few days which helps to jog my memory as to what I’ve got/not got. We’ve eaten our way through my last Brexit stock cupboard so I’m going to get one up and running again, just in case. I’m also going to start adding a few bits to the weekly shop for Christmas, if I can think of things. We don’t go overboard and most of our treats are fresh/last minute buys, but I can try to get ahead of myself.

Managed to squeeze another overnight stay in at the van but still not able to get more than that in at the moment due to general family life and happenings.

Hoping to get DS's uniform this week. I'm sure he won't grow too much in the 3 weeks before term starts. I generally have to buy trousers and shoes again at some point so should be OK to get his things now.

Think that's about it. Hope you all had a lovely weekend. xx

    Afternoon :)

    Day 13/31, Prolific £4 outstanding, Spends £18.33

Today was shopping day although I didn't meet my friend. It's been hit and miss over the holidays and things are changing for her in September so we won’t be able to meet up as often but I’ll still be going shopping because I like a routine :D

Had a couple of surveys yesterday which enabled me to cash out and add another £6.21 to the Christmas Experience pot. Also rounded down the joint account by 75p so total in there now is £39.12. I doubt I’ll make the difference needed from receipts and surveys before Christmas so need to start adding a little bit to this pot as I go along.

Need to get DS up and moving at a reasonable hour tomorrow so we can go and buy his uniform, then that’s something I can cross off my list.

Hope you’re all having a good day. xx

It's not going to be easy that's for sure :o I have a sneaky plan to drop him at the barbers on the way back as well - I'm definitely not going to be his favourite person tomorrow.

I need to go to the big supermarket tonight so I'm hoping to pick up some shirts for him which means tomorrow he should only have to try a blazer on. Then on Friday we need to go shoe shopping. :o If he could do all this in his PJ's, unwashed and with his hair sticking up on end he'd be fine :rotfl: xx

    Afternoon :)

    Day 14/31, Prolific £4 outstanding, Spends £18.33

Had a productive day today. Shopping was delivered and then we went to the uniform shop for DS’s blazer. We were in and out in 10 minutes. Luckily for him the barbers was closed. Unluckily for him he’ll have to get dressed again tomorrow and go :rotfl:

Went to the supermarket last night and picked up some shirts for him then prized the Xbox controller out of his hands and made him try them on. Just as well because they were far too small across the shoulders/chest so I’ve taken them back and got a refund. I didn't need to buy any more because I remembered I bought 15-16 last year by accident but kept them so I dug those out and although they’re a bit long in the sleeve they’re fine.

Total spend on uniform/equipment is £97.25. Would have probably been double that but there’s a lot that’s not been bought because things still fit him although I think I’ll have to buy some stuff during the year. No shirts, no PE kit, no trainers, no branded rucksack and definitely no football kit – fell foul of that when DD started HS and bought her the ‘required’ footie boots & socks, only for her to wear them about 6 times then never again because they were told by the PE teacher not to bother if they didn’t want to. He's not a football person anyway so doesn't feel the need to look the part which helps.

Pay Day again tomorrow. Not much left over but I've already worked out what’s going where. :)

Hope you're all having a good day and are managing to stay dry. xx

Yes, can't complain Beanie. I bet new trainers and footie boots would have been at least £80-£100. Today I'm feeling grateful his feet haven't grown and he's a couch potato :rotfl::rotfl:
