Hope you had a lovely evening of cocktails with your daughter. That gin you bought as a gift also sounds lovely.

Nice to see your pots mounting up too!

Thanks HG :) Birthday hasn't arrived yet so the gin is still tormenting me :rotfl: It'll be gone by the end of the weekend though. xx

    Morning Everybody :)

Just popping on to say I'm having a small break from numbers and pots but I'm still behaving myself behind the scenes :D

I've done a bit of juggling this week and have managed to bump the experience pot up to £73.:T I'm concentrating on this fully now so I can get the date booked and in the diary.

Weather is gorgeous here today although without wishing to sound like I'm complaining it's a tad on the hot side for me. I'm a woman who is more than happy with average in so many walks of life :D

Hope you all have a great day. Back again soon. xx
  • I think it's important to have a break from numbers (still being a bit mindful, of course).

Yes! The weather is glorious and it can make all the difference to people's moods, eh?

Hope you have a great Bank Holiday weekend and I'll be following along and checking back :)

Thanks Alicia :) I feel like I've got a bit bogged down with figures lately tbh so I'm going to take a small breather. I'm definitely still being good and mindful of what I'm doing though. Just a few months on here and I don't think I'll ever not know where my money has gone again :D

Hope you have a lovely BH as well. xx

Thank you LABMUM, that's a lovely thing to say. :) I won't be gone as such, just not updating as often for the next few days.

The main reason for this is I seem to have done nothing but shuffle money around all August. It's one of those months where on the 1st I know everything will be fine and back in it's place by the 31st, but the days in between are a constant movement of money from one place to the next to evade those pesky overdraft charges which I refuse to pay. I'm pleased to report I won the battle and everything is back where it should be now, but I am feeling slightly number fatigued :rotfl:

In 'pot' news I've managed to cash out £5 each from Receipt Hog and Prolific which has been added to the Experience pot. That gives me £83 with another £27 to go. So I've decided to dip into the Christmas pot to make up the difference and get it booked and off the list. It's as broad as long really. The Christmas pot will get reimbursed over the next few weeks with hopefully a bit more added to it as well.

We've enjoyed a lovely couple of days at the van and will be heading home later today. Hope you've all had a lovely Bank Holiday. xx

    Morning Everybody :)

Number fatigue is slowly disappearing and with it being the end of the month, (how did that happen), I thought I'd bring myself up to date so I'm ready to start tomorrow with new figures .

Christmas Experience - this pot has been removed from the list and I’ve booked a date. In money saving news I realised if I booked in term time that as long as we could get there by 5.30pm I only needed to pay £80 as opposed to £110. Those time restrictions are definitely do-able so I’ve saved myself £30 which means the Christmas pot didn’t have to be raided after all. :j

Savings and Charity - I'll be starting over with these. I wanted to do something for somebody and used the money I had in here.

Hair & Dogs - it's that time where we're all due to be groomed :rotfl: These pots will have the usual money added to them tomorrow but in a couple of weeks will be empty again.

Me - Routine bloods tests have shown an anomaly so the Doc is ringing me on Wednesday to tell me what’s wrong. It’s obviously nothing urgent and I’m guessing it's the usual pre-diabetic markers or poor kidney function news. Usually the medication dose is reduced and I’m monitored for a while, but I think I’m as low as I can go on the tablets so will see what he says. I’m only guessing though, it could be something completely different - I’ll find out soon enough.

Spends - I've got about £10 left over but tonight we are having what we call a 'night out, in'. Mum is coming down and we're going to have a few games of crib, a few glasses of gin and a cheeseboard. I need to buy the cheese so will probably use my spends for that.

I think that’s everything covered before I get back on track properly. Hope you all have a lovely day. xx
