Hello Everybody
Day 31/31, Proific £1.20 outstanding….still, Spends – see last paragraph below
OK, brace yourselves. It’s the big cake reveal as promised :rotfl: I went down a slightly different route and made a ‘Naked Cake’. The idea is you skim the sides with buttercream but just use a small amount so you can still see the sponge . It’s a Marmite look – you either love it or hate it.
The girl I’ve been watching on YT has obviously put a lot of hard work in at patisserie school and she sells this style of cake in Harrods starting at £150 for one this size. Unbelievable. Seriously anybody could have a go at this. I’m not taking anything away from her, but the ingredients and decs for this cost me just over £10. For that, I can live with the slight imperfections plus it was really good fun to do.
In other news I've completely lost track of my money this week. I have treated myself to a few little bits though and managed not to feel guilty so that's good.
Hope you’ve all had a lovely day and have managed to stay dry. xx0 -
Wow, just wow.
That is just awesomexx

Morning
Day 1/31, Prolific £1.20 outstanding, Spends 1st-7th August £42.80
RH: 1177/1500 Shoppix: 1755/3200
I’ve been a bit all over the place with money this week so I need to get back on track. All I know is I've got £2.80 left in my purse which I've added to this weeks spends.
I’ve put a total of £80 into the pots which leaves me £205 for the month. £45 of that I’ve put to one side in what I call CC savings, which leaves me £160, so £40 per week.
Pots have been filled as normal:
Savings: £33
DS Savings: £20
Dogs: £45
Hair: £10
Caravan: £10
Christmas: £100.50
Christmas Experience: £26.73
Birthdays: £29.21
We’re meeting DD in town again today. I’ll pay for the train tickets and hubby will buy breakfast.DS isn’t coming. He’s been staying up extra late and is sleeping in - typical teenager on holiday behaviour.
We ate some cake last night and it was really nice, even though I say so myself, but there’s no way we’d be able to eat it all so I’m going to deconstruct half of it and turn it into cake pops. There’s a lunch after church on Sunday which I’m not staying for, but I’ll take the cake pops for the children. It's a win win situation - the children get a treat, the cake isn't wasted and I get to play baker again :rotfl:
Hope you all have a lovely day. xx
Forgot to transfer the monthly £10 from the joint account to birthdays so the total has changed to £29.21.0
