Morning Everybody
Day 9/31, Prolific £7.85 cleared, 82p outstanding, Spends £31.15
Had quite a few surveys yesterday and the majority of them cleared so I’ll be cashing out today.
Couldn’t find any netting in town so I’ve ordered some online which I’ve accounted for out of my spends. I also treated the family and bought milk otherwise I’d be £1 better off than I am :rotfl:
Shopping day today – have to say they roll round pretty quickly lately. I’ve a couple of books to pick up from The Works which will come out of the Christmas pot but I’ll update that when I’ve paid for them.
I know I'm talking about Christmas a lot at the moment but I'm in the zoneI've been doing this thing for the past couple of years that the DC's love where I donate to a charity then fill their stocking with related bits and bobs. They don't know what charity I've chosen until they open the card and seem to find that more exciting than opening the bits they get. This year for dog loving DD I've donated to feeding a stray dog for a month so her stocking is dog themed. DS is a lot harder to buy for though so I need to get thinking about his.
Hope you all have a lovely day. It's drizzling here and dull. Thankfully I washed all the bedding yesterday when the sun was shining :T xx0 -
I love your idea of a charity donation and then a themed stocking, that's a really inventive idea and I can see why the DC love it

Thanks HHD
It stemmed from me asking them if I could stop doing stockings now they were older. I was finding I was buying tat for the sake of it and I thought they'd just say yes, but there was an outcry :rotfl: So I said I'd carry on but do something a bit different and with not as much in. In a flash of inspiration I decided giving as well as receiving was the way to go and they loved it.
I could buy for DD for the next 50 years but I always struggle with DSxx

Men are always more tricky to buy for. What about a lifeboat charity or mountain rescue for DS?Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

I've found that it's too easy to slip, if not checking in regularly. We're having a tight month as paying for a week away, so counting down to pay day again (as always)Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230

I do find men hard to buy for HHD especially teenage boys. I'm going to do something for hubby this year and the lifeboat charity was what I'd decided for him, but keep it under your hatDon’t think there is a gaming charity
And therein lies the problem Beanie :rotfl: Last year I bought a survival blanket for a street sleeper and then I made up an Xbox survival kit for DS. Silly things like drinks and snacks so he could survive in his room and PJ's so he could game in comfort. Then I popped a £5 code in an envelope so he could buy some rubbish or other to level up or whatever it is they do  It went down really well.Choccygirl123 wrote: »I've found that it's too easy to slip, if not checking in regularly. Totally agree CGIt's hard to get back on track as well which is why I'm on here every day - I'm an all or nothing person
At least things are tight for a nice reason
