    Morning Everybody :)

    Day 7/31, Prolific £3.82 cleared, Spends £0

Feeling a bit cream crackered today, all the walking we did on Friday must be catching up with me as well as the cocktails :o

I can't believe how many organised Mums there are on here who have already bought uniform for next term. I'm the mad one you see dashing around at the last minute wondering why there's nothing left in his size :rotfl: Although in my defence DS is shooting up so quickly I don't feel I have any option but to leave buying his things until the 11th hour.

Apart from having a brew with Mum, today is going to be another quiet one. I'm knitting a family of hand puppets at the moment and I'm at that stage where I wish I'd not started but to stop would be a waste of the time I'd already spent on them so I shall persevere.

Hope you all have a lovely day and manage to get out to top up your Vitamin D :) xx

    Morning :)

    Day 8/31, Prolific £3.57 cleared, Spends £35 8th-15th July

A new week so spends pot is operating at maximum, for the time being. :D Don’t think it will stay that way for long though as I need to buy netting for a butterfly box I'm making.

Quick round up of where I’m at:

    Savings £0
    DS Savings £10
    Caravan £30
    Dogs £0
    Hairdressers £0
    Christmas £105
    Charity £41

RH is 866/1500 and Shoppix is 160/3200

The plan from now on is to divide any money left over between savings, caravan and Christmas. Even though I've hit my Christmas target a bit extra is always handy.

Hope you all have a great day. xx

Course you can LABMUM :) It's just £10 a month I save for him until he's 18. Then he can have the money to do with what he wants. From my point of view I was thinking holiday, towards a car, that sort of thing, but it's his and I don't stipulate.

DD has had hers and it went to Uni with her and is quite possibly funding her social life and wardrobe  She wants to go to New York with her friend when she's 21 though so it could be tucked away safely but I wouldn't bet money on it :rotfl: xx

Hi Dancing in the Rain - love that name btw, it reminds me of my e-mail penpal and she's lovely. Wow, can't believe you've read all the diary, that's what I call stamina :rotfl:

This diary has changed my whole way of thinking regarding my money which is probably why I'm already Christmas shopping before summer term ends :D

Thanks for introducing yourself, it's always lovely to hear from new people. I'll pop over to your diary and say hello. xx

    Hi Tea

I just wanted to stop by and have been wanting to stop by for a couple of weeks now and say that I am so pleased you didn't stop your diary I actually shouted out NOOOOO when I read it. I love reading your dairy and do every day, your budgeting style, tracking your spends and savings pots are fab. The title says it all slipping through my fingers and I hope you don't mind me saying but I think keeping your diary stops this happening and falling back into old habits again which can quite easily get us back into debt. You are so consistent and have nailed it and I really do try to take a leaf out of your book :-) I am trying so hard to not get into anymore debt so I think keeping myself to account on my diary really helps and reading yours does to.

I also appreciate you popping by in my diary and your advice, although I am rubbish at times I love your company in there so thank you.

Lovely to hear you had a nice weekend - I love cocktails, food and walking so it sounds perfect.

Have a lovely rest of your evening

Thank you so much for that lovely comment NMC It's not a very exciting diary but I'm very thankful for that :rotfl: You're right, just coming on here for a few minutes every day has made a huge difference to being able to keep on top of what I'm doing. After a few weeks on here I wrote I was only going to report in once a week but that lasted about 3 days because I could see myself 'slipping' again. :o

You're not rubbish. You're busy and trying to keep a handle on a lot more than I am with work and 2 little ones to look after. I wish I'd come on here years ago though so my only advice is to keep posting whenever you can. Just seeing it written down in b&w seems to make a big difference to keeping on track and knowing where you're up to.

Have a lovely week. Not long til the holidays now. :) xx
