Yay! Had a bit of a break from the diaries as I am struggling with money this month. Came on to read yours as it's one of my (many!) Favourites and was gutted to read you were thinking of packing it in. Phew a couple of pages later and the lovely people on here persuaded you that you DO belong!
I will pop over the hills for a cup of Al Jazeera anytime - I still buy that brand (stock up when on offer!) despite being in debt. Life is too short to drink carp coffee.
So so happy you are staying- you are always so supportive on my (sadly neglected) diary and on others too xx0 -

Morning BB50Thank you, the comments have been lovely and the best bit was reading some people are also out of debt but still keeping diaries :T Sorry to hear you've been struggling with money but keep posting, it might not look good written down but I always find it clears the head and gives that 'fresh start' feeling. Kettle is always on

Morning Everybody
Day 25/30, Prolific £0, Spends £41.25
RH 696/1500, Shoppix 2585/3200
I have my laptop back :T and I'm logged into Prolific, ready and waiting, so hopefully there will be some survey money to add to the pot over the next few days.
Shopping day today. It's the final 2 birthdays of the month this week and then that's it until September thank goodness. I've got the cards I just need to buy a gift for one person and transfer some money to the other.
I only need a few bits today so shopping might just come in under budget this week but I'm not counting my chickens. I needed milk yesterday so popped into a shop near DS's school when I was picking him up. £1.60 for a carton I'd normally pay £1.09 for - daylight robbery
Can't see any major spends this week which is good as I'd like to bump some pots up before the new month starts.
Hope you all have a lovely day. xx0 -
I need to sort my food budget and can honestly say have never been a penny under  you're a miracle worker!
Good to see you're still hanging around in diaryland xFinally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -

Thanks CGWell the shopping miracle was short lived
I'm a couple of £'s under but not as much as I expected to be. But in my defence I've bought my first thing for the *C* cupboard :rotfl: It actually doesn't feel that odd with the weather being like it is. I genuinely don't think I'd be thinking along those lines if the sun were shining - I'd be in ice-cream mode instead.
Have a good day xx
Thanks Beanie. I've been going through DD's stuff with her and sorting everything out for when she moves out again this weekend. Thought she may have stayed a bit longer but there you goxx

Evening HHDThe lease agreement is that for July and August they only have to pay half rent as long as they don't live there - sort of a retainer I suppose, but obviously full rent if they live there. She was going to stay here for a month then move in, but now she has the job it's a lot easier to get to work from there than it is from here.
She only works 2 shifts a week but if they offer her any more she'd definitely be better being there as travel costs would start to mount up. I don't really have anything to do with her finances but she's managed really well this year and says she has enough to pay the rent.
I expect she'll still pop home every so often to see us, but I'm coming to the conclusion she may well have already unofficially left home. I really can't see her wanting to move back in with us when Uni is finished
Is everything sorted out with DS3 and his lease now? xx0
