    Morning All :)

    Day 20/30, Prolific £0, Spends £11.50
    RH 674/1500 Shoppix 2504/3200

Met DD in Manchester yesterday and had a bit of a splurge in Paperchase, Whittards and Bodyshop. Including the train fare total spends came to £37.20  The only reason I have £11.50 left is because I also took £20 out of the savings pot so there's a big fat £0 in there now.

What with the spends at weekend, I've got through quite a bit of money this week. Not complaining though, I don't do it often and it was good to have a bit of girly time with DD. We've decided to do it a lot more often so there may be another savings pot on the horizon ;)

Also gave £10 to school for a cancer charity they're collecting for which came out of my money.

    Hope you're all well. xx

It was lovely Beanie, although out of all the money I spent I only came back with a bar of soap for myself :rotfl: I realised that since starting my diary and watching my money more carefully I've hardly spent anything on the DC's so it was good to be able to treat her. I'm definitely saving up for another Whittards visit. It's not so much what they sell but the tins they're packaged in - they're gorgeous. DD is a big Alice in Wonderland fan and they have a lovely collection of things. Not sure I dare mention the *C* word yet but it's gone on a list of possible gifts. :D

Thanks WB :) I was definitely lucky with the warranty. DD is thrilled she got the job and can't wait to start earning athough I think by the amount of clothes parcels arriving here she's probably spent her first wage packet already. Touch wood we are all better now and I managed to stay germ free again. There's a lot to be said for daily medication :rotfl: Hope you and the DC's are all well. xx

    Good Evening :)

I'm ending the day another £7.50 lighter after paying for DS's haircut so now have just £4 in my purse. This is the first time I've paid for his haircut out of my money since I started on here so not bad going :D

I've been reading diaries today and have to say I feel a bit of a fraud being on here. For starters, I don't have any debt any more which is obviously great but when I read other people's diaries and they're dealing with debt, food banks, unexpected bills they're struggling to cover etc. etc. I'm not totally convinced me writing down what I'm saving and then spending in 'fancy' shops is really necessary.

So for now I'm going to call it a day. Looking back to how I was just before Christmas I can't believe how much being on here has helped me get myself sorted out. I've gone from £200+ slipping through my fingers every month and not knowing what I'd spent it on to being able to account for pretty much every penny, near as damn it. I have absolutely no intentions of reverting back to how I was and have started writing my finances in a notebook on a daily basis which is working fine, so I'll still be on top of things and intend to remain that way.

So, a massive thank you to everybody who has stopped by to read and gone to the trouble of leaving comments. I will definitely still be dropping into your diaries so won't be losing touch. But for now I'm going to retire from here. xx

Sorry to hear that you are going to retire your diary.
I think you should keep it xx

You're not a fraud and I don't think you should go! It's your dairy to keep you focussed. Everyone on here for personal reasons one way or another abd you don't have to justify it to anyone.

Would be really sad to see you go. X

Thank you :) I really love coming on here and doing my updates but I've been feeling a bit out of place for a couple of weeks tbh. That's my own feeling though, absolutely nothing to do with anybody else. I could do with a "Debt free but definitely still needs to be held accountable" forum :rotfl:

I think the tipping point was my shopping trip. I couldn't bring myself to write that I'd spent £9 on a tin of hot chocolate and £8 on 2 bars of soap. My thinking was if I can do that maybe I'm in the wrong place on here. I don't know. I'm just feeling odd about it all.

Like I said, being on here has helped me so much and maybe I'm over thinking what the forum is for. I know if I hadn't come on here when I did there'd be at least £1,200 spending money I couldn't properly account for .

Blimey, it's all a bit of a first world problem isn't it really, whether to write on here or not, I need a slap and to be told to get a grip :o Have a lovely day everybody. xx
