  • Another one delurking to say I hope you continue :) Reading diaries of those who have broken free of debt and are still holding themselves accountable is a really solid reminder that getting debt free is just the first step. Unless we all become rich beyond our wildest dreams, we'll all need to keep going to ensure our futures are brighter than the gloomy debt past ;)

    Evening Everybody :)

We are at the van and the weather is gorgeous. A trip to the beach this afternoon turned into an impromptu paddle for the dogs and DS who all ended up wet through, so it was a bit of a squelchy ride home due to having no towels with us, but definitely a good day for getting dry quickly.

I'm on DS's laptop and I'm on a time limit so best get on with what I want to say, which is a big thank you to everybody who has taken the time to leave a comment. Every one of them has really touched me and reading people's different views about being in debt and out of debt has made me realise that I'm not in the wrong place after all. So thank you all very much for making me feel better about posting on here about my savings pots and my spends. You're all absolutely fab. xx

    Afternoon everybody :)

    Day 24/30, Prolific £0, Spends £41.25

I'm feeling much better about posting on here now which is just as well as my money feels a bit all over the place this week. :o

    Pot update:

Savings £0 - thanks to the hot chocolate and soap
DS Savings - £0 - I've put £60 saved so far in his bank so will start again for the second half of the year
Dogs £0 - they were groomed this morning and have had toys bought for them this month
    Hair £10
    Caravan £10
    Target £40/100

DD moved out of halls yesterday so the dining room is full of her stuff and my washing basket is overflowing  Which would be fine only it's decided to pour down and there's a general feeling of damp in the air so I'm going to struggle to get it dry.

She's done her first proper shift at work and really enjoyed it even though some horrible bloke shouted at her because the waiter had forgotten to give his DD her drink. It didn't bother her though. She may be anxious about certain things at times but dealing with k**bh**ds isn't one of them. According to her friends you mess with her at your peril :rotfl:

She does make me laugh. Hubby was asking her some interview questions and one was "what would you say if somebody complained about their meal". She replied "tell them to stop moaning and think about all the hungry people in the world". Wouldn't you just love to be able to say things like that. I'm sure we'd all be a lot happier than pretending we actually care :D

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. xx

Thank you K, that's a lovely thing to say :) I love chatting to everybody as well :) Even though I'm debt free I've found still coming on here really beneficial so will definitely continue to post now my 'moment of doubt' has passed. xx

Evening HHD :) I thought of you while I was working my way through the washing. I found another load this afternoon in a black bag she'd pushed under the dining room table  The savings pot is definitely looking sorry for itself but hopefully I'll have it up and running again soon. xx

Thanks Beanie. The money in the pots is all doing what it should be doing and going where it should be going so that's the main thing. Christmas and Charity are done and dusted and DS's savings looks sad, but the money is in his bank. The rest are just ticking over as normal. xx
