Glad the move went well. My son moved five hours away and after a year at the student accommodation moved into a flat of his own so I don't think he will be living at home again. My spending has gone to pot as my Dad was in hospital and all that goes with that. I didn't even keep a track of it but it a new month soon. So will start again

Thanks LABMUM. The moving was fairly easy but I could have done without doing it twice in 5 days. Ah well, she's settled in now and can stay for 2 years if she chooses including over summer - apparently some have to move out then. I don't think she'll come home again unless she really has to but tbh after 3 years I'll probably be used to it and encouraging her to find her own place :rotfl:

Sorry to hear your Dad hasn't been well. Hope he's back home and on the mend now. It's impossible to keep on top of money when that sort of thing happens but I'm sure you'll be back on track soon. Do you have a diary? I've had a look but can't find you. :o xx

Glad that your DD is all settled in now.
    I miss DS a lot.
As I brought him up as a lone parent we did have a strong bond.(Though he saw his dad on a regular basis) xx

Hi Beanie, I can imagine if it was just the 2 of you for so long how you'd miss DS when he moved out. I'm sure I'd feel the same if I didn't have OH and DS to occupy me.

You've obviously done a good job of bringing him up to lead his own life though and to not feel obligated to stay at home - I hope that comes across right, because it's definitely meant to be a positive statement :) xx

Yes, I think we all want that for our children. From what you've said he's also a very kind and considerate man who really loves him Mum :) xx

    Evening :)

Just been going through my budget for July and my mission next week, should I choose to accept it :rotfl: is to try and get the Target Pot full. It's nice to know Christmas and Charity are done and dusted and I fancy getting my head down and crossing another one off the list.

    So, this is the plan:
    £25 from monthly money
£15 from survey money I have in Paypal
    £5 from dog grooming pot
    £3 from hairdresser pot
£5 from Shoppix - hoping to cash out next week

All that with the £43 in there already will take the total to £96. So if I can squeeze another £4 from somewhere I'll have done it.

Really just writing all that down so I remember what the plan is. :D

    xx

Me too Beanie :rotfl: Then that's another one put to bed and apart from DS's savings they'll all just be 'rolling pots'. Money in/money out. xx
