Thank you HHD
It doesn't interest hubby so it was just me playing on the table with 2 other guys who were betting silly money. They were literally betting £100's and there was me putting my 8 lucky 50p chips down at a time :rotfl: I had quite a few wins but in the end came away with nothing but not before they'd walked away after losing all theirs  xx 0 -

Thanks NMC. It was lovely and as I'm still in the low 50's I don't feel too bad about being another year older.

Morning Everybody

Day 2/30, Prolific £0, Spends 1st-7th June £43.25
I still need to physically go to the bank and draw my money out but this is what everything will look like when I've got off my bum, got dressed and gone and done it.
£120 from CC will be put to one side.
£285 will be split between pots and spends.
Savings : £85
DS Savings : £60
Dogs : £75
Hairdressers : £10
Christmas : £80
Christmas Charity : £30
Caravan : £20
Target : £25/100 by September
Shopping : £0
That gives me £173 spends for the month which is £43.25 per week. Which is too much but I'll keep it at that for now and top up the pots at the end of every week as it keeps it more interesting for me than doing everything on the 1st then sitting here for another month with not much happening.
I've also added a shopping heading. It's not a pot but this is where anything less than what I usually budget will get added. It might motivate me to try a bit harder with the shopping.
Right, best get a wriggle on. Hope you all have a good day. xx0 -

Thank you PP
Blimey I hope you skipped a few pages to get here :rotfl: I'm sure I've been reading your diary while I've been at the van, I'll have to go and have a look and say hello.
The pots have been such an eye opener for me. Something so simple has really changed the way I view my spends and what I do with my money. I can understand why this used to be the go to way of budgeting in many households. It's a real sense of achievement watching the pennies grow and knowing what it's going to be used for. Good luck with your budgeting.
