Day 14/31, Prolific £1.45p cleared, £0 pending, Spends £7.60
For the first time since I started this diary I've completely lost track of my money this week - can you tell DD is home.
She's been with me to the shops a couple of times and asked for money for honey, lemons etc. which I've handed over and haven't accounted for. So in my purse I have £7.60, which means there's about £5-£10 that's been spent on bits but not exactly sure what or how much. It's spends day tomorrow though, so I can start over.
Nothing much is happening here. DD is still not 100% and still home so the bookshop and museum plans are on hold. Instead, I'm staying local and doing my usual Tuesday routine minus friend, although DD might come with me depending on how she feels when she wakes up.
I'm challenging myself to not spend too much time on the laptop but have just spent over an hour on here catching up with everybody
Hope you all have a lovely day. xx0 -
Hope DD is feeling better soon Tea
Have a lovely day

These men are crafty creatures aren't they. When I first met hubby he used to cook for me, and was really good at it. When we moved in together it slowly became 'my' job and he did other stuff, that to be fair I don't like doing. But whereas he puts the bins out once a week and fills the cars with petrol once a month etc. I'm the one that's cooking every bloomin' night! xx
I bet a lot of wives can relate to that TF2! DH enjoys cooking more than I do (or so he says) and is a good cook, but guess who does the cooking every night . And I put the bins out too! If I waited for him to get around to it it would only happen once a month .Morning

DCs are so good at spending our money aren't they? Although to be fair DH colludes in our house. He gave DS1 a fiver to buy some milk yesterday and didn't ask for the change back . I hope you manage to get your pots in order
.
I think spending time on here is good for my mental health and my budget so I never think it's a waste of time

I hope DD feels better soon and you can get to the bookshop and museum (that sounds like a day out I would enjoy). Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

My hubby has never really cooked only on Christmas Day! When we were first married we used to have ready steady cook nights £10 for him to make 2 courses and £10 for me to spend on entertainment :rotfl:
We hit an all time low when he made chilli gravy to go with pork chops.
Hope DD is feeling better soon, bet it's lovely to have her home even if she's breaking your budget. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -

Thanks WB
She's on the mend and is heading off back to Uni tonight. Think there's a few end of year things happening in the flat and she doesn't want to miss out on them. Her room is a pigsty so she's got to clear that up before she goes anywhere
Hope you've had a lovely day. xx0 -

Oh they are indeed HHD
DD came shopping with me and threw a few bits in the trolley to take back with her so I spent a bit more than usual today. I don't mind, she's manages her money really well and hasn't asked for anything since she started although she does get the odd treat here and there.
I agree, coming on here is great in all respects but then I get sidetracked. Take yesterday. I logged on here then somehow ended up watching vlogs of Mums with big families. I did have to question myself after watching how a Mum of 10 children cleans her house when in all honesty I should have been cleaning my own :rotfl: xx0 -

Cooking on Christmas Day would be more than acceptable for me CG
I love your ready steady cook nights, maybe we could try that. He really used to enjoy cooking something 'special' at weekends, but then of course the DC's arrived and it slowly fizzled out and the everyday kitchen stuff landed in my lap. The chilli gravy is something my hubby would probably really like.

Glad that DD is on the mend

Day 15/31, Prolific £1.45p cleared, £0 pending, Spends 15th-21st May £30
RH: 234/1500 Shoppix: 345/3200
It's spends Day :j I don't seem to have bumped the pots up lately so I've taken £20 survey money out of Paypal and added the bit of money I had left in my purse which has given me £22 to split between them. So they're now looking like this:
Savings : £55.00
DS Savings : £50
Dogs : £50
Hairdressers : £0
Christmas : £65.00
Christmas Charity : £20.00
Caravan : £35
Treats : £20
Target : £12/100 by September
DD had to stay over again last night. We had a call from an elderly relative who needed some help and by the time that had been sorted it was too late for hubby to take her back, so she's going tonight instead.
Had an appointment with the nurse this morning. I've got one load of washing on the line and another in the machine. Shopping is being delivered this afternoon and it's pasta for tea. All is good.
Hope you all have a lovely day. xx0
