You really should start your own thread. However, it's important that you tell us when in 2015 you made your purchase, as the law changed that year from SOGA to CRA, and any help offered will depend on which law applied at the time of your purchase.0 -
I love it when I prove people wrong, You all write it off and said the case was closed. Well, I did not let it go. I was prepared to take it to small claims but had to go through trading standards first.
Well, I received a letter this morning stating that they are supplying me a new iPad to the amount of £319.
Drop the mike.

It's quite a story, you should go to the tabloids with it.barryjones2010 wrote: »I love it when I prove people wrong, You all write it off and said the case was closed. Well, I did not let it go. I was prepared to take it to small claims but had to go through trading standards first.

The way they will see it (and me ) is that because you have this insurance you don't need to really take care of the tablet because if you drop it they will fix it. This is obvious from 6 drops and is neglect.
It could also ne argued that by letting your kids use and abuse it as they have, you haven't taken care of it which you haven't.Blackbeard_of_Perranporth wrote: »I paid over the odds for an iPad 1 in October 2010. Look after the new one better than you did the last one. I expect Currys did some arithmetic and reasoned you were costing them more in repairs than giving you a new iPad. Will they allow you to insure the new one for continually dropping it?0
