Sounds like the wondercollie is also a sucker for big brown eyes! I bet when you're not looking she's up and down the stairs like a tart's drawers!

Just nipped in to send good wishes to all the shielders as the period of shielding comes to an end. Hope you can begin to enjoy a little freedom now, and that you can overcome any apprehensions about going out and about. Small steps will help, and taking one thing at a time. x

I’m keeping a close eye on the weather because we are forecast temperatures of -1 early next week and possible snow! I’ll bring all my strawberries in because, although they overwintered nicely I have repotted 13 new runners from the original four plants.I’m taking and cutting the lawn at the back, a few metres at a time then in for a rest! I’m getting a bit more done every day. My therapist commented yesterday on the work that I’ve done in the front and the progress in clearing my hallway. I did the glass recycling last week, I hope to do the fabric reclamation this week and charity shops next week 🤞 i’ve got a huge load of car boot stuff – I hope those come back soon12 -

Do you have a problem with your eyes daz or could it be hayfever? I had to start my hayfever tablets a couple of months ago. It was the same last year so the season seems earlier now.Thats a lot of shifts in a row. Take care.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

I was sneezing fit to bust as we did our usual riverbank stroll today, and my eyes were soooo itchy - the blackthorn's blossoming like mad, the willows are catkin-ing, and there are early ornamental cherry trees out as well - pollen everywhere! Luckily, I don't suffer when the grass or the rape-seed are out in high summer, but March/April and October/November (fungi) I sniff & snivell like mad.Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)12

I've lost count of how many times I've said Hayfever I'm fine over the last year. It does help with social distancing though in a pandemic. The grass and rape seed get me too. Farms up the road harvasting and I'm indoors. There's marshland near too so the bitey things are coming here as the sun shines.Sometimes I wonder why I bought a house here. However as the song says I was so much younger then I'm older than that now.I don't have lawns but no doubt the mowers will be out over the Bank holidays. Local council have barely mown any of the municipal gardens so that's a relief..pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

It was nice to wake up this morning and have something to look forward to - I was straight out to check the plants 😃12

I'm another one who gets hayfever in Feb/March. Up here there is nothing out to cause it though and people all think I'm mad or imagining it but I've had it all my life.
