I heard somewhere that fuel prices may be going up because of the Suez Canal issue, but I’m not sure if that is the case.7

As with all preps, check you can carefully before filling it & have a storage place prepared. Where possible both secure & outside.
As the lawnmower season starts, from a first aid perspective, beware "Angina Flymo" - the devices can be heavy & if you haven't be shoving one up & down the garden for a few months, the nasty pulling feeling at the chest, shortness of breath, sweating & generally not feeling the article? May be an oncoming heart attack, or it may be angina Flymo, but either way, stop, sit, & call 999. Noone will mind if you call back saying "sorry to bother you feeling has passed off" but struggling on heroically to the point of needing emergency resuscitation is at least one point beyond sensible.
Keep an eye on your neighbours dashing out to enjoy the bank holiday weekend & overdoing in exactly the same way. It doesn't take 15 minutes in proximity to get someone sat, ask if they have a history of angina, & page help!11 -
Well, the husband is visiting both sons houses to check the lawn mowers. Both are in the military and will be out of town, one until the end of May and the other until the start of July. Husband is in charge of garden maintenance and making sure the houses are in good shape.
Little dog has settled in well. Wonder Collie treats her as an equal and forgets he is 10x her weight. It can be interesting at meal times. She thinks her portions should be the same size of his and will gobble hers down and then try and eat out of his bowl. He lets her.
So we've had to up the quantity of dog supplies kept on reserve.9 -
They just know, don't they, that it's a young un and to be gentle. When she starts getting bigger, though, she might start getting a swipe! One life - your life - live it!10

@Nargleblast, little dog is ten! She's a minature breed, so a dog we would never have gotten but she needed to be rehomed. We are a sucker for big brown eyes, lol. She has the husband eating out of her paw. He carries her up and down stairs because "she's got little legs!" She can do the two steps down into the garden just fine.
