Cornishchick I wish you a speedy recovery. Would menthol sweets help with the smell? Could your friend pick some up whilst collecting your prescription for you?
Thanks Karmacat, I think we will head down this route for the rest of the week it's got to better than sitting here for 2 hours procrastinating.17 -
Look after yourself, Cornishchick, and if it affects your chest try sleeping on your front as much as possible. Obviously if the symptoms get worse call for help. One life - your life - live it!17

Cornishchick, take it easy and rest as much as possible; day time tv for you for a while!! My 79 year old father just getting over it and he has rested totally and went for his first walk yesterday. Prior to this he was exhausted and slept all the time. Let your body heal and if you get short of breath make sure you call for help!! Sending hugs! xx

We only have the stores we have because OH grows them on the allotment, he safely managed to keep it running right through last year, many people also used their time down there but all had the sense to remain socially distanced on their own plots and grow and bring in a decent harvest. My part in it was to use the 'enforced stay at home' time here working at processing the produce and using as much of it as was possible in our meals throughout and also making sure that the surplus to immediate needs was all preserved somehow for us to use later on. Jam, chutney etc. is the easiest and prepping for the freezer, the fresh that would store was strung (onions) wrapped (apples) and put in appropriate packaging (sacks) such as the potato crop. Dehydrated is more time consuming as it has to be sliced and it takes time to dry but as it takes up less storage space when it's done it's more convenient to store and will keep for a very long time. We're preppers and do what has to be done and although it takes a lot of time it's well worth it.15
