Get better soon and try to rest as much as you can. Would zinc tablets or lozenges help with the strange smell in your nose? Could be worth a try. Or even sniffing Vicks?15 -
Wishing you well CC. I'm glad you have a good neighbour to stay in virtual contact with. Do you have any Olbas Oil? I've used that over the years on a tissue to sniff to clear my head during colds etc. The smell does remain for a while and the oil clears any stuffiness.Rest up and love and light for a good recovery .pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.16 -

I hope you get off lightly and recover quickly, Cornish chick 🐥
For many years I used to have a horrible smell of decomp in my left nostril when I bent down. I was paranoid about trailing dog poop around on the bottom of my shoe.18 months ago I had a brain scan to sort out these memory blips - it was clear but the neurologist did mention I had a small pocket of infection, deep in my sinuses. I ended up having IV antibiotics which shifted it for once and for all.I do an iodine inhalation once a month also just to clear my nasal passages.17 -
Hope you feel better soon @cornishchick - please take it easy. Don't fight the fatigue, just go with it. There's some good advice floating around on FB from a nurse about what to do if you have Covid (not drink bleach!), but FB being what it is I can't find the post because it's one I actually WANT to find!
I think the consensus is still that if you get past day 14 without a crisis then you have it mildly, but keep an eye out for ongoing symptoms. My fever lasted for 10 weeks - and I think they deal with it differently now. The paranosmia is fairly common but very annoying - lots of people reporting burning smells, cigarette smoke etc or rotting smells, none of which helps with appetite. Vit D is recommended and then the usual advice about fluids, warmth and rest. And call 111/your GP if you feel you need more.
Having said that, I didn't take any of that advice - a bit of paracetamol, carried on working/running etc until the spiking temp raised alarm bells and I had treatment. Make sure you keep an eye on things afterwards, as long covid is no joke, and there are tests and checkups they need to do if you end up in that category. But for now, just rest.17 -

Really sorry to hear your diagnosis, Cornishchick, and hope that it's a relatively mild version and that you feel much better soon. Please rest lots and GWS. xx
