That sounds like really good advice, Greenbee from someone who's been there.

GQ I keep meaning to ask where you found that very jolly bee image. I can always spot your posts even without my reading glasses.My Glasgow / Mackintosh Rose was lost when the Dell finally gave up. We were a few days away from transfer to the Vanilla platform when it needed transfering over. A web search brought up thousands of different Glasgow Roses Mackintosh Roses etc. I was ready to hit the floor when i finally found it.I've had two temporary replacements fail while trying to make my mind up on a new laptop but the family techie has tranferred the hard drive over each time so I can still find my rose.I hope you are continuing to regain your health . You need to be armed and ready for the pesky slugs. Sharpenend and polished trusty steel. It'll be them or us this year more than ever.Hope the 'rents and your brother are well and of course Wild Thing. How is the pallets of loo rolls lasting? Rumours about power cuts prompted me to get another gas bottle delivered today for my SHTF gas heater. It occured to me that maybe I should install it in the heater now, in case it's dark when I need it. Until today the heater was still in its cardboard under the stairs, and my first bottle is out in the garage. (Just as well I did, as it's taken me two hours to work out how to light it!
)

I had a S'bugs delivery today, I order heavy groceries monthly, due to arthritis in my hands. Cheap at £1 for a 4 hour delivery slot (he arrived 1/2 hour early). Only things missing were doggie treats (she loves Milky Bones but I've not been able to get them for months), and loo paper x 9 pkt, but as i don't like substitutions, I always expect some misses, and have backup. Also only got 1 x 6 sparkling water instead of 3, which may have been rationing. They did allow me 4 UHT milk x 6, so no shortage there. Delivery man, not one I know, stated that I must use a lot of milk, a comment I thought unnecessary but interesting that he is worried about my milk stores. In 10 years I've never had a comment before!! We do actually use a lot of milk as DH like cereal.
Same delivery guy did not wear a mask (I did), although I've just had a message from S'bugs boss informing me I must wear a mask when I visit his store... I won't be visiting, as I buy fresh stuff locally every week, (and always wear a mask).
BTW they now only issue a digital list of the groceries bought, accessible as a PDF via their final email confirming the order.

DS 2 & 3 now have chicken pox, wish me luck this week with home schooling 😣Oddly enough we've had two power cuts here in the past week. No idea why but not good with the cold weather.As a former teacher and mum of four I wouldn't be too concerned with the home schooling . Some children get away lightly with chicken pox but it can be quite nasty for some. Two of mine got it quite badly but the other two were ok. I remember having it as a child and feeling really rotten. I still have two scars on my face despite my mums constant applications of calamine lotion.polly.
