I've got a big sack of home grown potatoes, strings of home grown onions, freezer full of home grown tomatoes, green beans, broad beans, raspberries, plums, a newly harvested bag of parsnips, beetroot, leeks and cabbage from the allotment, a cupboard full of home made jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles, a cupboard full of dehydrated home grown fruit and vegetables and standing crops of kale, leeks, parsnips, carrots and cabbages still to be harvested on the allotment. Fresh herbs in the garden and jars of dehydrated herbs in the cupboard I've been busy during 2020 and now we reap the benefits.11

Impressive haul, Boazu.Hoping to grow something this year as the new place has some outside space and I haven't had a garden since 2012. No clue where to start or with what, can't even get a growbag, garden centres closed in Wales and it's just not the time to go driving round to lots of different supermarkets, I hope the local Co-op get some in.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”16

Serendipitous if you have a milkman they sometimes have compost I got grow bags delivered from them in the first lockdown.
The homeschooling has reached a wall DS age 5 is bored out of his mind with work set the hour zoom lesson he sits looking at the screen like why do we have to do this. He is quite a smart cookie but also quite lazy it's not getting the best out of him I need to switch tactics rather than just clocking on with the school everyday to keep Borris happy. The teachers are working really hard. I can't really go back to them and say we are bored.
This afternoon will be mapping out the garden ready for seed order. My small veg box at £14 came today its contents are questionable with regards to value. Last week's was amazing.16 -

Thanks Thrifty, no milkman sadly, but my DD says B&Q are still open so we will try a C&C between us soon, so that looks a bit more hopeful now. I must try tomatoes if nothing else, I use loads of those.I feel so sorry for everyone home-schooling, it must be a nightmare. I helped DGS with some worksheets before Xmas, took ages but we got there in the end. I'll be helping more in the coming weeks I can see.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”16

Thrifty, is your son reception or year 1? DD is reception (age 4, but obviously has classmates already age 5). I have a Twinkl account and download stuff from there to support her learning. The children will all be at different levels, and the teachers know that a lot of parents will be juggling homeschooling and working so won't want to set too much. We've done most of this weeks learning today, as DD is a keen learner. But I imagine for others it will be more than enough, especially if Mum and/or Dad are working (and/or have multiple children) and can't give them lots of one on one attention. They are playing a balancing game, but you can do different/extra stuff if you want to. Or less if you need to.February wins: Theatre tickets16

As Serend said, an impressive haul Boazu, well stocked. Does your pub landlords vegbox have things you don't grow? I decided to do a click and collect with my local Aldi but the things I use weren't listed so bit of a nonstarter. I'm going to try Morrisons instead as DiL or DH will collect. Our little local co-op had beautiful veg so I've frozen enough for us for a few weeks yet.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle15

There is a lot on Twinkl for free, we Home Educate and it is one of the resources we use as part of our children's learning.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Than you. Eurronorris, reception, he is expected to do phonics, literacy and maths before lunch and then zoom in the afternoon then do the other topic stuff which is more fun in the afternoon. He is miles ahead with maths I tired saying but it fell on deaf ears, I guess at least we can brush past it. He can do phonics and spell simple words but he hates writing and something that should take 5 mins takes 2 hours and it is painful getting though it. We ditched school this afternoon and decided to go down our own route, he is currently listening to audible Darwin evolution for children and looking him up on Wikipedia I have been asked more questions in 5 minutes than the whole of this morning.18

Interesting about the Aldi click and collect silvasava, the local store appears to be offering pick up slots around the clock - are they using a locker and pin number system? I’m lucky to have a carer who’s happy to go shopping for me, but in the current situation I want to reduce the risk as much as possible.14
