I suspect we’ll be queuing down the street for hours if we’re still social distancing when flu jabs are due especially if they do give it to more people which there was some speculation they might do. It was mayhem at our surgery last year and they won’t be able to have so many in the vulnerable demographic all milling around inside. And what’s the betting we have a wet autumn just to make for a truly joyous occasion? Might arrange to get it done at our pharmacy which is always pretty quietIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!14

Well round 2 of immunisations, the seaside town was really busy compared to 4 weeks ago, complete different demographic out, majority over 70 and not much social distancing, the benches at the bus stop where people were crammed onto the benches. I wore the face mask that we bought for the first time, I feel like it was a failed attempt as couldn't cope with it, I was hot and sweaty as we were running late and because of this is stuck to my face and I felt as if I was being suffocated, I think cotton may be the way forward for me not shiny synthetic fibre. Add tomatoes to failed garden the first large tomato has a brown bottom, the courgettes are mouldy at the end, however we do have 2 mini pumpkins! 😀.10

Re flu jabs, the assistant at our local Lloyds mentioned they expected to have jabs available in September.
Elaine Please take things as gently as possible while you're recovering, to hopefully avoid the chronic fatigue which seems to be affecting quite a lot of people after Covid. I know it's difficult though, as living on a farm there are obviously a lot of things you have to do.12 -
We definitely need to make sure we are getting our flu jabs going off this article in the Atlantic: https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/07/double-pandemic-covid-flu/614152/ (American but I imagine holds true here as well).
Worth making sure you are stocked up on flu meds as well. I added paracetamol and ibuprofen to my Sainsburys order today. 70p each! I’m sure they used to be about 20p 🤔Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...12 -

This is an interesting short paper - it seems, paradoxically, that wearing a mask makes people more likely to distance from you.I wanna be in the room where it happens15 -

That does sound like ME greenbee. I hope that lifts off you soon, it's a very draggy way to live.

That's interesting about the mask/social distancing thing, vjs.
I don't wear one myself (yet) but when we're at the shops and someone else is wearing one, I find that I assume they are either particularly vulnerable or particularly anxious, so I do make sure I give them plenty of space.15 -
