T order was collected not to many subs but then didn't order what most seem to be after. DH was speaking to T man who said he was bored, normally they have between 20-25 click and collect slots/orders for each time slot and normally 2 of them working but they have moved other guy into store and reduced the slots down to 3 for each time slot as apparently they cant currently maintain stock levels for the demand.10

the talk of thermometers reminded me to dig out mine and check it still worked. not been in use since Late DH's chemo days. New battery and seems to be working, I've checked my average temp on a couple of occasions and very close each time. I have various stashes of Paracetamol and my other meds . I have also a stash of honey and bottles of lemon. these are standard winter cold/flu preps but glad I have them still.
currently have 50 rolls of loo roll, but I live alone and that should be fine, but worse case I have a stash of old towels and tea towels in the rag bag.today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
Living on my memories, making new ones.

DH and I had to go into Manchester today. The first time since the coronavirus outbreak started. We wore gloves and took hand sanitiser. A few people were wearing masks-all of them young people. It was quieter than usual but then there were no football matches. We got an airport train home. There seemed to be a few hen parties on it. I wondered if they would get to their destinations or if they did be able to get back!Although I'd hoped to avoid using public toilets I had to use the one at the station. A lot of women were definitely NOT washing their hands anything like for 20 seconds.11

My thermometer is currently in storage along with most of my useful stuff and DM is quite unconcerned about not being able to find hers; none to be had locally on online with the usual suspect retailers. Eb*y has some overpriced ones!
Monday is going to be my day of making a quick trip in to town for a birthday gift and something for DM for next weekend. I may have to make exceptions for the legalities of my recent purchase. Then, I'll be keeping to myself as much as possible. There will be no choice about the return to the germ factory and an hour each way by public transport later in the week but I'll try to be ready for the quietest times possible. I've had a month of unintended social distancing/semi isolation and I'm finding it tough now, even though I'm not exactly a social butterfly!

I think I have some forehead strip thermometers somewhere - years old. But I don't think they are necessary - we'll soon know if we are really unwell and have a fever.

That's a plan! A few weeks ago, I did buy some face masks, thinking that wearing one would remind me not to touch my face. I haven't worn one yet but, then, I haven't been commuting.9

DD got back from her shift at the supermarket and said it was manic. Shelves on her aisle were nearly empty when she got in, and as fast as she filled them the stuff was going again. Her friend was trying to stock the pasta aisle and said people were snatching it off the cage before he could put it on the shelf! She had already agreed to 2 extra shifts this week and the manager was asking if she could do even more. I asked her if they will get masks at some stage but she said no one has mentioned it. The videos from china etc had people wearing them serving in shops so i hope they do make some provision, she has hundreds of members of the public passing or talking to her each shift.10

Crikey this is getting genuinely scary - I’ve just been over to the boots website to top up my vitamin supplies and found that all the vitamin C had gone!! Never mind, I thought, I’ll pop over to amazon, get another six pack of those 2/5 a day Napolina ready meals, and not only have they gone but everything in my basket is now out of stock :-(((
This was partly prompted by a report in the express, which says that the govt plans ‘strict isolation’ orders for over 70s and those with pre-existing conditions. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-the-papers-51893135To echo MrsLW, if you need to go shop, do it TODAY, as early as you can. My carer reported fairly well stocked shelves in the supermarket yesterday (other than hand sanitiser obvs) but if the major onlines are anything to go by that might not be the case for very long. Good luck everyone!!9
