Eke it along a bit with some biscuits and make a (small) fridge cake? Usually I find the Cloake roundups a bit schoolmarm-ish but the summaries can be useful, and you can whittle out what you don't have while doodling a bonus feature section to the shopping list. Stay warm & dry & safe above all?!9

MrsLurcherwalker said:I suspect in times of pandemic the choice over staying at home or being quarantined wouldn't be an option, the patient would be put where the meds needed them to be regardless. I suspect that the priority would be keeping as many of the nation as possible healthy and the needs and preferences of the individual would not be a factor in that.

I am assuming though that if any quarantine was necessary it will be just me and DH here and we can find plenty to entertain us. No sniggering at the back. I'm thinking crafting and painting, and not the diy kind.

I think 2 weeks quarantine in my house would send me stir crazy. If I was allowed into the garden I would be much happier. Not being able to go outside would be horrendous. When I have been ill and unable to shop or socialize for nearly two weeks my sanity was save by going into the garden

Plus this morning 79 new cases in Italy where there are communities in enforced shutdown. It's a concerning situation and at this point in time there is no accurate way of predicting how this virus will progress is there?10

To clarify! Painting in this house is either me being arty or DH painting his model soldiers and boats.
I would like to think I'd still be allowed in the garden in any enforced quarantine but maybe not.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
DH flying to Milan today for several days (he teaches computer stuff throughout Europe). A bit nervous but hopefully the Italian attempt at quarantining the affected towns will work.

I don't really post on thuis thread, but have à tip for the poster with the coughing child: make sure the child drinks plenty of water to keep the mucus as fluid as possible.
What helps me when I cough à lot: spray some fresh water over her head with à spray bottle. Make sure the spray nozzle is set to the finest mist; Just one squirt right above the head should do it.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.599 -
Thank you Sierbrie, it's my DD with the nasty cough. Thankfully, the awful night time cough has now passed, but we still have the chest daytime cough, bless her.
I thought I had escaped it, but started with a very sore throat on left side and blocked left nostril yesterday. Worse this morning, and now with added ear pain. No cough for me though, so wonder if it's a different virus. Also DD woke up this morning with a sore throat. I don't know. Fed up of germs. Thanks for all the suggestions and help everyone xxFebruary wins: Theatre tickets8
