In the nursing home I use to work in, we were taught to take gloves off by using one gloved hand to pull out the wrist part of the glove on the other hand and pull it up and then with the ungloved hand go to the back of the wrist on the still gloved hand and put your finger's down the back of your hand inside the glove and again pull down, so the first glove ends up inside the second glove which is now inside out and you've not had to touch the outside of either glove, hth.1

The initial genome has been shared around the world but viruses `steal` dna and nucloetides from the cells they inhabit so that they can reproduce, they can act like a trojan horse and can also transpose into never-ending mutations. It does not divide via the simple method of vegetative cell division as in prokaryotes. There will not be a `cure` for this virus, not in very many months if that. Viruses are very complicated and this is not a new virus at all but it is a changed virus1

It's newly emerged as transmissible to humans and is the 7th known to be transmissible zoonotically (I hope that's the right word?) from an animal species to the human animal. It's going to mutate that's a given and possibly there will eventually be a vaccine, some folks will recover on their own too without it. It's a great concern, don't think I'm making light of it or glossing over the potential it has to be a huge problem before it's able to be controlled but I see no help to be gained from being frightened by anything other than it being a natural occurrence. I may be wrong though!1

Not sure about the conspiracy theory. Seems more likely that it is just a new mutation, or even something they were studying that accidentally leaked. BUT, it is a possibility. And the powers that be would never admit to it, for obvious reasons.
I dismiss the bioweapon idea mostly because you would need to have inoculated your own people first, before releasing it. Otherwise you'd be giving the whole planet a dose, which seems illogical and highly, highly unlikely.
That said, I do think it is worse than the WHO and other governments are making out. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a lockdown in China, there wouldn't be evacuations, there wouldn't be hazmat suits and quarantines etc etc. If it was as mild as the common cold (as some would have us believe), then why is there ANY fuss at all?! It is clearly worse than that, and is causing deaths, at the moment seemingly at a higher rate than flu, so does need to be contained (if possible).February wins: Theatre tickets1 -
I need someone like you to help me change a quilt cover
Practice is what it is, at the nursing home us cleaner's had to make the bed's up when the staff striped them, knock on effect is I do the double one at home on my own, I lay the quilt on the bed and fold it in half length way's, then turn the quilt cover inside out, put a hand in each corner with my arms inside the quilt then grab a corner of the quilt in each hand and lift the quilt so the cover falls part way down, then unfold the top half and go down to the bottom end and pick up a quilt corner and put it in the cover, same the other side and shake to fluff.
Or I'm available for the price of a cup of tea and 2 chocolate biccys and hour :rotfl:£71.93/ £180.001 -
I turn 55 next week, and have noticed this year I'm feeling the cold more at home. (Male) I have to set the heating higher most of the day. Is this to be expected at this stage?
I remember my granny used to have the heating set to 25 all year round, but she was in her 80's.
Found another annoying symptom of getting old today... You go out in the car in the cold to run some errands, and have to drive home after an hour for a tinkle!1 -

London is bound to get infected with it being a china tourist hot spot, and such a long incubation and spreading it when feeling perfectly well.2 -
All the more reason to prepare at home for the potential disruption that will bring to our lives then. However, it hasn't happened yet and the PTB are seemingly doing everything possible to limit the chances as much as the can so until it 'does' happen vigilance and common sense precautions and keep on keeping on as normal. You can't live life scared of possibles or you're not fully living it.2
