NSD for me yesterday, last one of the year. Almost made it to 15.
Today going for a roast and to cinema with a friend. Been working on this book in the mornings, then going for a run and reading/watching films in the evenings. It's been lovely, but feeling cabin fever and ready to leave the house now!!
Hope everyone is OK and looking forward to Jan, thank you CCL for the new thread!!Student loan £5655

Toni'sFriend - what the hotel has done is appalling, you need to name and shame them on whatever social media platform you can.
My throat is much better today but I had way too much to drink last night and feel pretty grotty today, serves me right. I've had a large bowl of porridge topped with sliced pears, seeds and maple syrup, coffee and a banana muffin for breakfast.
Yesterday we nipped into town and bought a very heavily reduced electric toothbrush for DD and I also got a Trespass running top in the CS for £2 but that was it. My one and only sale order arrived yesterday, just half price toothbrush heads, half price perfume and some foundation.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Greent and Dolly - I'm convinced they overbooked. My job was organising events and they must have known long in advance that they needed the rooms if they were hosting an international event, A big, international chain - I wouldn't have expected it of them.
Well, I've just about ticked everything off my list for today. All the really important things are done and I think I can probably manage the smaller ones before bedtime. Himself seems a bit better today mood wise but his cold is lingering. Hope it goes away soon.

Thank you CCL for your excellent goals for January!
NSDs: Another NSD today, if in,y because I’ve cocooned myself in the house all day, with the exception of taking our pooches for a walk in the woods..
Extra Income for December: £120. Sold one of three mirrors advertised on eb@y today. Buyer paid cash on collection.
I think people must be in a buying mode at moment as adverts posted back in November are now being bought. This means I need to shake a leg with a few more adverts tomorrow!
Say “no”: We declined invite to NYE party which is 91 miles away. We were looking forward to a quiet 2.5 days and then...SIL2 gently invited herself over on NYE. She will be a low key visitor, plus she’s doing the driving, so it’s all good!
4 Gratitudes:
Fun and invigorating visit from my sis and family. We agreed we should catch up with an Aunty we hadn’t spoken to in a while, only to learn from another sister later that night that she had passed away. At least it was quick, but a lesson to us, not to take loved ones for granted!
A lazy day!
That I will have more time than expected to mentally prep for the New Year!
That a Park Run has been organised at the last minute for a run on NYD! A great start to 2019!IO BTL1 Mortgage was £97,693.54 on 09/08/18; £83,140 on 31/12/19.Sealed Pot Challenge 12: #078: £150.36

Another lazy day - can't stand up for more than 5 minutes. I have done some tidying/ picking up bits (got to 18 and it started getting difficult at 12, then have to wait for the room to stop going round when I stand up again). Had fruit loaf for brunch and cooked 6 sausages (I had 2, DS3 had 4) in the oven with a tray full of roast veg - baby courgettes and sweetcorn, mushrooms, a red and a yellow pepper and 2 large and 4 small tomatoes that were getting squishy (plus one cal spray, 2 of the garlic and herb things that come with pizzas and a slug of balsamic vinegar (ys 1/2 price). Delicious (enough left over for 1 or 2 meals - will box up later)
Visitor and I emptied the dw and refilled it but had to ask for advice on getting it to go. Some time spent by the bins, think I spend more time there than in the kitchen. Several things left to soak before washing. just attacked the bathroom sink, worktop and back of toilet, needs more but it's better than it was.
Today I am grateful for the quilt 'ball' for my ankles, for old detective series and films, for good books and for having enough sense to go back to resting when I need to.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Spendy day in Sains/ Icyland and Tesc0 - but total was less than £25 across all 3. Bought some gorgeous reduced Xmas paper in Sains which I may use for bdays instead - depends on what I need to wrap/ who the present is for/ what else I've got (have masses of Mulberry paper from when I used to make/ sell soap but it's not suitable for all gifts (too thick for small ones and also rather girly....)
Thankful for: OH deciding to get up at a reasonable time (9am - has been as late as 1pm), getting the dining table cleared of Xmas decs/ dressing, doing nothing, my mum liking one of her presents enough to send me a pic of it in use :T Oh - and getting 20 frog items listed ready for Jan's challenge. Still need to find some more (am sure some will emerge rom hiding once challenge is underway)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
NSD today 20/20.
Walked into a town centre to look for curtains. Was not successful but at least I got plenty of walking done. Was about 45 minutes each way.
A friend phoned me to inform me of someone with both knew passed away last week. We also chatted about other things as well.
Grateful for:
Making an online booking for someone to come round to measure for carpet/lino and picking carpet/lino. Did this about 3.30am as I could not sleep.
Making a start on a couple of things that need to done in January.
Reasonable weather.
Watching Piorot.
