One thousand days. Intrigued by this

What kind of month do you want for yourself? December - a month of 8 days at work, 1 trip to Cardiff to see DD on her 21st, 1 trip to Swansea and Cardiff to collect DD & DS1 for Xmas (OH will do this), 1 meet up with relatives at my house (eek!), 1 Xmas show to see (DS3), 1 meal out for DD's 21st when she and DS1 are back home, 1 Xmas/ bday meal out combined celebration and paid for by OH's business, lots of cooking, lots of family fun and games and a decent amount of sleep! And more fun. No stressing last minute. Time to enjoy it all. Rather too much going on. Need to make some lists!
Holly and other decorationsI may change this as we go through the month. No additions today
Outings. Drop one. I dropped a work one. Dropped Scouts Xmas carols - DS3 didn't want to go and I wasn't going to make him - he's 95% sure he wants to give up at Xmas anyway.
Slow living this month. Will take time for R&R and set timescales to get things done in reasonable timeNeed lists!!
Omm. Take care of your mental health. Do something every day this month that makes you feel good: Write down 4 gratitudes each day.okGrateful for finding what I needed in Tesc0, for a yummy dinner with YS items from the other day, for a small fb00k sale, for being able to get a WM engineer booked for this Weds morning (non working WM = argh!!!)

Don’t give up. Not ever. Not for one single day. Be safe if you can be. But always be amazing.” Pop on here every day .Here
Refuse to get sucked into guilt spending. None today
Identify activities and people who drain you. Give yourself permission to take a break from them for 21 daysI've been gradually doing this over the past few years....
Visit your local area. Find new footpaths, see where a road or path takes you. Explore new horizons. Would like the weather to be drier to do this....
Exterminate one bad habit from your life for the first 10 days. Darn - looks like Candy Crush for me... success so far today

Spent the day at mums today helping her wrap up some Xmas presents. But have a confession, my hoover wasn't picking up so did everything to fix it, got another second hand one and I had to unblock it everytime I used it (2 cats, my hair falls out so much and toddler) so I bought a brand new shark cordless on my CC
Have had a lovely day with my son, mum and dad though which was really niceeven was treated to my son going to bed 30 mins early because he wass so tired bless him so extra 30 mins of mummy time!
4 things I am grateful for today:
1. My mum for looking after my son while I went to physio
2. I had access to my CC to buy a new hoover
3. Time with my son and mum
4. Extra 30 mins of mummy time

Evening all :hello:
Definitely not a nsd today. My mediation appointment was brought forward to this afternoon and I left there £110 lighter and not much further forward. But I have been - just need to wait a week and see if he makes contact with them. Good job I won't hold my breath waiting.
While I was spending I decided to fill the car up with petrol, which should last 10 days if I'm careful. I did, however, resist temptation and made myself a bacon sandwich when I got home
Other than that I've had a productive day - managed quite a bit of gift wrapping and sorting stuff out so I'm starting to feel a bit more prepared for Christmas. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Hi all, good evening, I hope you all had a great Monday!
Pleased to report I managed to bag NSD #2. OH is off work this week so I left him strict instruction to not go shopping. Being the well-trained husband that he is, he did as he was told and cleaned the aquarium instead to keep him away from temptations. Packed lunch #1 for this month was left over beef stew from last night and some steamed broccoli florets. As for bad habits exterminated, I managed to browse my mobile phone less today.
4 things I am grateful for today:
1. Disaster-free Monday at work
2. Lunch break with my bff (she has just accepted a job offer in a different hospital so every little time we could spend together before she leaves is precious to us)
3. DH helping me cook dinner (braised vegetables in coconut milk)
4. Relaxing drive to and from work
Tomorrow is a weekly shop day a will probably be a big spend as we are low on most staples, but hubby and I have made a list and we are planning to go together after work.
Have a pleasant evening and see you tomorrow!"There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
Today I am grateful for getting nsd #1 finally, for a clear crescent moon + bright star as I left the house this morning, for a good day at work, for a pupil saying thank you because I'd sent a postcard home saying how pleased I am with his work, for my physio really getting in to my shoulder joint (ouch!), for getting my secret santa finished and taken in to work, for dh getting me some more balm tissues, for finding another Saint book on the shelves to read, for working towards a couple of my 19 before 19 ideas. And, of course, for 85% chocolate!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Organise your outgoings – Started writing the Christmas food shopping list.
Count up to 15 – 2/15
Treat yourself well – took myself off for a bath while DH was gaming with DS
Refrain from browsing your phone – I am being mindful of picking it up from habit and have looked at it a lot less today
What kind of month do you want for yourself? Family focussed, stress free, joyful, fun and within budget! I don’t want to start January with a financial hangover from Christmas/overspending and having to use the credit card to get through. We shouldn’t have to if I can rein DH in! Finished DS activity advent calendar, the elf has been well behaved so far but will be up to something naughty tonight
Omm – do something every day to make you feel good – had a soak in a hot bath, read my book and ate maple and pecan cookies (not all at the same time!)
4 Gratitude – Today I am grateful for:
1) Lots of hot water
2) Having enough wrapping paper and gift bags in the loft I don't need to buy anymore for this year
3) Christmas prayers with DS with the class nativity scene he brought home today
4) A good nights sleep
No entry to any sales, no takeaways, canteen meals – nothing purchased today
“I am and always will be the optimist” – Still positive
Candles. And switch off your tech an hour before going to bed please – haven't managed the candles yet but have reduced tech time
Read fiction before bed – I read to DS last night but couldn't keep my eyes open long enough to read more than half a page
Exercise – Had a walk Sunday night but nothing today
Don’t give up – I'm here
Refuse to get sucked into guilt spending – Not planning any
Exterminate one bad habit from your life for the first 10 days – my bad habit is not eating 3 proper meals a day and picking at rubbish or missing meals altogether - Had breakfast but a bit hit and miss after that and will be having a late dinner:oSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
I didn't see the recent dr who episode - but am now intrigued as to what it was about!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
