Anybody know of any Gun clubs or Ranges where i can go and hire and fire a gun (Under supervision) in Florida ?Hi,
We found information on this subject on the Dibb. We all think it'd be an experience to try it and found a couple of sites/places that allow you to fire a gun/guns. A word of warning though, it seems that these places are generally 'raw' - i.e. you'll find its not at all touristy which can be off putting for some.
One Dibber had a great time at this place;

Although this seems to be popular too;

A tip to save some money is that you can hire your gun at the range but buy your ammo from a supermarket (forget the name, sorry) as the prices charged at the range for ammo is much higher. Obviously you'd need to have an idea of what guns/ammo you're going to be using.
Oh my word!!!!!
I am sat here watching a bit of football before I go to bed and try and deal with my jetlag.
In answer to the above query;
We went out to book NASA's Up Close Tour at the KSC only to find out they had sold out for the day (of course it was because the shuttle was on the launch pad), and so we decided to drop in to East Orange.
The Gun Range isn't exactly highlighted but is easily found if you have Sat Nav. We walked in off the street and not being sure of the best way to ask, I decided to be blunt and when the assistant said, "How can I help?", I answered with, "Hi....we'd like to try some different weapons in your gun range. I saw a good review online and we've decided to give it a try.".
I expected it to be more complicated than it was but after providing photo ID (photocopies of passport/driving licence is sufficient), and filling in the waiver forms we were let loose with a gun (and a box of ammo) that we shared between four.
We started with a .22 (Luge I think) and fired off a box of ammo, then tried a 9mm (Baretta) again with another box, then we used an assault rifle and another box of ammo.
We were there throughout the (extremely hot) afternoon and at the end of our time we were presented with a bill of around $140, which was discounted down (unrequested) to around $115.
I won't go into too much detail, but for our boys (aged 14 and 17) it was one of the highlights of the whole holiday, whilst I discovered that my wife is a dead eyed markswoman.
:eek:
You can spend your time alone re digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself.
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

Yes, there was a sign directing us through the small entrance to the left of the guest relations building in front of the main entrance, and there were SeaWorld staff there who checked our tickets & reservation and searched our bags etc. (If you're going before your Discovery Cove day, you need to get your tickets from Guest Relations first by showing you Discovery Cove reservation confirmation.)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

* Flights seem to be fairly expensive around end of September/October when i thought they would be cheaper. Should I hang around for sales/discounts? Do Virgin/BA do any sales for around this time of year? Any other advice? Im 100% flexible on dates at the moment.
Does anybody have any thoughts/information/knowledge of this? Virgin have some GREAT prices right now, Im sure they must have their sales at regular times each year? Hope someone can give me some advice?! Thanks! : )0 -
Does anyone have any feedback for Mickeys Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness Resort? I'm thinking about booking for myself, wife, and son who will just be 2 years old when we travel in Sept.
I have already booked several other character restaurants for when we travel in Sept many of which we went to last year, but have never been to the Backyard BBQ? Any thoughts would be great. I'm a bit worried my son may be a bit to young to enjoy it and dance about etc.0 -

We done the back yard bbq 8 years ago with my son who was 3 at the time,We had a great time but having just come back 3 weeks ago my son now 11 the reviews werent very encouraging people were saying the food is pretty dire and it is a bit of a free for all,I think it would be too much for a two year old to take in, I remember from last time it was pretty much standing room only aswell so if it is only you and your wife aswell it can get very hot and streesful even if it is at night time,We were lucky we had the in laws aswell as the aunties and uncles with us so my 3 year had plenty of people to make a fuss of him so he didnt get fed up.0

Thanks to all for your replies. Just seems to confirm what I have already read on American message boards that it is a bit of a free for all at the backyard bbq. My son might just be a bit too young for this on this occasion.:T0
