Myself and OH are looking to go from Manchester to Orlando for 2 weeks in Jan 08. OH is 6'4" and so we are looking at Premium Economy or similar so he can get extra legroom.

TCD have quoted £1,534 for flydrive
Virgin £1,258 for flight and I can get car hire for £168 = £1,426 total

Can anyone tell me if these are reasonable quotes? Do you think I could get them cheaper if I waited a bit?

    Thanks
    mto

Jan is a really quiet time and I would have thought you could do better than that to be honest. It might be worth waiting?

Now, can anyone who has been before tell me if i am being unrealistic when i say that in two weeks we would like to do all disney, universal studios and seaworld.

Went this summer.....had 2 week disney pass and 3 day universal pass. A couple of days we did other things, like Kennedy Space, shopping, but didnt think that another big ticket pass would have been worthwhile......we did about six hours a day in the parks, and sometimes went back in the evening.

PS The Disney pass also includes both the Water Parks, which you can spend a day or so in each.

Hi all, I was wondering if you can help me?

Myself and my partner want to go to Orlando Florida around Thursday 27th March 2008 and was wondering if you guys could help me find the best quote?

Dates: Ideally 27th March (must be in Orlando by 30th!!) for 1 week

    People: 2 adults

Location: Ideally close to Sea World etc

Airports: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Gatwick<(at a stretch!!) (Direct flights only please - we do not want to change flights)

Thanks in advance - we have no budget as such just really as cheap as possible!

  • Hi not sure about staying close to Seaworld, probably quite expensive real estate round there!

    I booked our holiday in stages as follows;

flyglobespan.com Glasgow 9:30 to Sanford 13:30 returning 18:30 to 07:30 (went very well would use again).

3 bedroom townhouse in Regal Palms resort, 20 miles from Seaworld £450 a week, they do a very good Margarita on the rocks the pool, booked http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk/

4x4 Toyota Rav 4 Sport 3.5L with satnav and two drivers £190 a week from http://www.uscarhire.co.uk

Discovery Cove dolphin swim all day experience, incl food and drink + 14 days of seaworld and busch garden tx
    http://www.discoverycove.com/explore.aspx

Universal Studios tx and Disney here
    http://www.themeparkticketsdirect.com/

Also you should consider Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede, dinner show, 2000 people shouting on the North or the South. Then you can shop at Orlando premium outlets afterwards.

check out the forums for detailed info www.dibb.co.uk

not sure if it's something you can do the cheap though.
If it takes a man a week to walk to walk a fortnight how long does it take a fly with tackity boots on to walk through a barrel of treacle?
