can someone advice me on tickets?

we have never been to orlando and we have found a good deal for 4 of us to go for two weeks in august (flight and hotel and car) for £2000 - I presume that is a good price? staying at the radisson?

anyhow - we want to go to the parks, disney, epcot, bucsh gardens, universal etc, but we don't know what we need to look for as regards to tickets and tbh, we don't really know what parks we should do or should not bother with, I suppose with the children they will want to go to as many parks as they can whilst we are there so can anyone advise on what parks are on the 'must do list' but also what type of tickets to get, we don't want to be going to one park in the morning and then another in the afternoon, once in we are staying in - can anyone please help me with what tickets etc I should be looking to get?

    thanks in advance

    Hi,

You should definately check out Wet n' Wild. It's a water-based theme park and is generally a hit with all ages. To be honest though, whatever you end up doing, the queues are SO long in all of these parks that you will only have time to do one per day anyway. Also try to check out the Premium Outlet Mall if you want o get some shopping in. Prices are ridiculous.

Hi all, has anyone any experience of buying the Lynx passes from their website before travelling? There appears to be an express and a standard pass- but no explanation of the difference..

Also, I have been looking at the timetables, but cannot work out which buses we would use? We are going to Florida in September and staying at the Holiday Inn. Planning to visit all the Disney parks, Seaworld & the two main malls..

Any help/advice from those in the know would be great!!!!
    Hi
Are you staying at the Holiday Inn on International Drive? If so, the I-ride is great for getting up and down International Drive, and to the main shopping malls. To get to Disney, you would need to either use the I-ride or the number 8 Lynx bus to get to Sea World, then you get the number 50 Lynx bus to the Ticket and Transportation Center at Disney.
We were there in Jan/Feb this year, we bought the 14 day pass for the I-ride, but just bought tickets on the bus for the Lynx.
You will have a great time, I'm so jealous!;)

I am staying on I drive at the end of next month and have booked to go to Discoery cove. the hotel that I am in offers a free shuttle to sea world. We havent got a car hire as we are under 25.

If i book the shuttle for sea world at about 7:30 am would there be a free shuttle from Sea world to Disc. Cove that early or am I best getting a taxi?

    thanks

    Right guys,

I can find a package for about £608.00 per person staying at Radison for July 2nd to July 9th.

My issue is this - return flights are about £350ish for the same dates. That means we're paying £516 extra for a weeks accomodation in a 3 star hotel.

Surely I can find cheaper accomodation in a better hotel right?

    Any good websites for accomodation?

have a look here http://www.travelplanners.co.uk/kids_go_free and http://www.orlandovillaexperts.com/kids_go_free as if you have kids under 11 they fly and stay for free - not sure about the dates but give them a call and see if they can help - you can get 2 weeks for a family of 4 for under 2k (flights and accommodation)

Thanks Helen, I really appreciate your reply. Yes, we are staying at the Hol Inn on I-Drive. So the I-ride is a better option than the Lynx then? (we only knew about the Lynx as a friend recommended it) With the I-ride, do you also use the transportation center at disney, or does the I-ride drop you outside the parks? Did you buy your bus pass before you travelled?

Sorry for all the questions, I have never been before so want to be as prepared as possible so we can make the most of our time!

I would like to go to Disney World with my husband and 3yr old daughter next year but wondered if she might be too young to fully enjoy the Magic Kingdom etc.

I just wondered if anyone has been with young children and whether you think 3 is a little bit too young?

    Many thanks

We stayed in the Holiday Inn also. I would say you would need to use both the I-ride and Lynx, depending where you are going to.
The I-ride only goes up and down International Drive, so you would need to get off the I-ride at Sea World, then catch the Lynx no 50 bus to Disney, or catch the Lynx no 8 on International Drive then again get off at Sea World and catch the Lynx no 50 bus, either way the Lynx 50 will drop you off at the Transportation Center, there is no direct way of getting there. The Holiday Inn do have a free courtesy coach to all the parks, but numbers were limited and you had to book the day before.

I think we bought our I-ride passes from the Virgin Rep in the welcome meeting when we got there.

I ride does not go to the parks except for seaworld and aquatica, but lynx buses would get you to the various parks. you can buy a 14 day trolley pass for the I ride $17 i think and then you use it as many times as you like, we bought our passes from the hotel as you can't buy them on the trolley. if you pay on the trolley bus it's $1.25 per trip and they don't give change
