All in all for a quick break it has been excellent.
Anyone know if you can buy Duty Free's on the aircraft coming home to the UK , thats with Tom. Airways.or do we buy them at the airport?

    Craig (aka Disney_cjd),

Perhaps you can give me some advice please?
Do you think the Kids eat free card for U11's at GBP10 each available at attraction tickets is value for money or not? Does it include drinks? Also any suggestions on where to change Sterling into Dollars to get the best rate / avoid commission?
I would be grateful for any help.
    Cheers,
    Warn

    Hi Warn

The Kids Eat Free card is OK and can work out a good deal if you want to eat at the places where the card can be used. There are some things to note....

-- I think attraction-tickets-irect.co.uk or completeorlando.com are giving these away free when you buy certain tickets, so if you have not got your tickets yet....

-- this is the website for the card http://www.kidseatfreecard.co.uk/default.asp take a look at the places that you can use it and see if these are palces you would eat

-- my kids who are now 4 and 7 still (at some places) share a kids meal so at Outback https://www.outback.com it costs us about 3 dollars EACH for a meal Some other places like Mannys https://www.mannyschophouse.com or Lonestar also have kids eat free nights, so if you go to those places on the correct evening then you are quids in.

-- I have jut had a look at the places available and surprised myself at the range. Whilst there are some run of the mill buffet shops which are good value there are some nice palces like Califonia Piza Kitchen and Smokey Bones and Hollihans.

As for dollar / sterling exchange. If you are wanting to do this before you go then I tend to pre book it at Travelex for collection at the airport. I also get good service from the post office too. At lot depends on who you bank with, so for example if you have a Nationwide bank account then I beleive you can use your switch card in the USA and you will be charged at the interbank rate (which is much higher than the tourist rate).

I use a company called xetrade and just looked at their rates. I would get 1.465 based on todays current interbank rate of 1.487 but I have an account in the US so its much easier. So try the post office and also the travelex AIRPORT pick up.

Also there is a thread on here all about the dollar which I think is in the same section as this Orlando thread.

    Hi Atro1

Yes you can mate. Well Virgin were flogging it on Sunday on the way back as the daft bint nearly took my elbow off with the cart in the middle of the night

BUT I would say it was much much cheaper at the airport. Really was. Got my father in law (aka our taxi when we got home) some nice stink for like 32 bucks the same stuff was 35 quid on Virgin

If you are top end of Dport its OK. Take a look at https://www.lastminutevillas.net I think and there are some good ones there. Also try Google.

As for areas, where was your last one?

A few things to try here.

YOu get use a town car service. Sometimes around the same price as a taxi but a much nicer ride and service. Chap meets you ar baggage claim with a car and takes your luggage and you to whereever and same chap brings you back again. There are a few around but one I have used for many many years is Tiffany Town cars https://www.tiffanytowncars.com (their site also has a vouher!)

If you do want a cab mind take a look at the Mears website https://www.mearstransportation.com as they have a taxi fare estiamttor on it so you get an idea.

Last option is a shared shuttle which again could be Mears or someone else. It will be a large an that wikl take a few people in one trip. You mornally pay per person so if there are four of you it might be cheaper with the car or cab
