    Hello

I'm planning on going to Florida in September with my girlfriend for 2 weeks. Is September a good time? Been looking a flying on the 11th of September, is that a bad time to fly?

    Thanks

That's actually the official date of the peak of the Hurricane Season so if you are unlucky you could get some bad weather. The chances of a direct hit on the exact dates you are going are obviously very low but as the systems tend to be hundreds of miles across there is a reasonable possibility of some rain for a day or 2 if something is close to the coast (they tend to go up the east coast before curving back out to sea).

hi we are all booked up 2 fly on sept 11th for 2 weeks, going to stay in fairfield inn on lake buena vista. Has anyone stayed there??

Also reguarding the new visa waiver forms, my husband bless him - in former youth days was alittle naughty. He was involved in a fight and got an abh charge against him. Now hes not in any trouble now, due to having very expensive needy kids but we have filled in the form online and it says everything is ok - just dont want to arrive and they say no and he has to go home if you get what i mean. Does anyone know if you can actually talk to some one and find out prior to actually getting there.

I have not used the new visa waiver forms.
Like many, had some stupid fun as a youth and ended up with a record. Because of the stink at the time [4 years ago] I went and got a visa from the American Embassy.
It has been nothing but a problem ever since I am always questioned as to why I have a visa. When explained I have been told 'waste of time'!!
As an eye opener- When in the embassy being questioned they knew more about me than I did!
Unless your 'crime' is recent I would not bother with a visa and just go along with the visa waiver form and if you are questioned at immigration just say it was such a long time ago you had forgotten all about it!
We have been to Florida and various other stops in the US of A. Since 1986 and only been questioned since I had the visa!
In the 80's you could send your passport to the US embassy and they would stamp a visa in it but today its a totally different visa.
Of all the places I have been Washington and Orlando are the two worst immigration entry's.
Sorry Nuttyp not really answered your question!

can anyone advise, got a quote from Disney direct of £1500 for 7 nights Port Orleans resort, Aug 2010, 2a2c. Price includes 4 x seven day Premium Tix + free Disney Dining Plan.

    Is this a good price?
Are there any codes anywhere for Disney to bring price down again ;)

    That caught your attention!:rotfl:

Its true, the good folk over at The Dibb www.thedibb.co.uk

are reporting that over the Easter period some of the Disney parks have had to close there doors due to over capacity!!! Even to the extent of a phase 4 closure (apperantly that means no one gets in - not even annual pass holders or people staying at Disney resorts!) so it seems even paying for tickets doesnt gaurantee you entry.

This is appearantly very rare and only usually happens at Xmas but with Disney offering discounts due to the recession it appears that Disney aren't suffering! The Dibb also reports that this is having a negative effect on the other non Disney parks in the area, which are very quiet due to the Disney discount effect.

    Hi folks,

    Just a quick question.

Last January I did my first marathon in Florida and travelled with Sports Tours International.

This year I'm doing the Goofy Race and Half Challenge and I'm booking independently and have priced up a package deal staying at Pop Century and flying with Virgin Atlantic. I thought it was a good deal at £1073 until I just for comparision tried pricing flights and same hotel seperately.

That comes out at £388.go for flight and £441 for hotel. Now that is CONSIDERABLY less than Virgin and the only difference I can see is that Virgin charges a single supplement and Disney don't appear to...

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I don't want to get landed with a single supplement when I get there at check in or check out.

    Thanks,

    Takoda

I have never heard of Disney charging supplements. You hire the room not the beds! The price you quote would be good for two but expensive for one! You do not say what month you are going.

    Hi All,

Been to a Virgin travel agents today and they were surprised about the new tickets rule. The thing is I can't find anywhere as cheap as Virgin for Discovery cove ultimate 3 park ticket
Can anyone tell me any good priced genuine websites that I can book through?

    Many thanks xx

It will be in January like the one this year but in 2010.

There's def a single supplement listed in the holiday breakdown with Virgin.

    Thanks.

    Hi Everyone

Just wondered if someone could help me with, where to start with arranging a Orlando holiday in the best value way, for October this year
    2 families of 4 (8 total)
    In a Villa
    Car or cars?
Where to get Park tickets here or when we get there (approx how much).
I have managed to completely muddle myself up.
