Can anyone suggest where abouts in the Quailty Inn Plaza we should get a room? Also can you pre-book? I have read they are refurbishing the hotel, is it very disruptive? Does anyone have an email address for the hotel.
Thank you
We have just returned and block behind mini market is being refurbished. We spent time by that pool and not much noise from work but could smell the paint. Complex and car park was massive but read previous to ask for room away from I4 and could not here road noise. Never used shuttle bus but seemed popular as did the kids eat free at cafe. We booked through Alpharooms and used QUIDCO.

Advice needed please
We are looking to go to Orlando in July, found flights through thompson, there are 9 of us altogether, these were the cheapest I could find flying direct and from East Midlands, Bham was a lot more expensive.
We are looking for a villa with pool - any ideas???
and a car, they do 12 seaters but just need better prices than I have found?
Do you suggest getting the Disney tickets and the Orlando flex ticket?
What else do I need to know??
Thanks in advanceJust started comping - Wins - January 2011 - £10 sports Direct Voucher, Fru Tea bags, No7 Mascara

A lot to get through!
I would recommend a Dibb Villa. Not your cheapest option but you are guaranteed very high standards and personal service. Between so many of you it wouldn't be a problem. We have booked one with a particularly pleasant couple so pm me if you want any details.
Car hire wise we use holiday2cars and they are again personal and well priced.
If you are staying offsite make sure you plan on visiting Disney a lot if you want a 14 day ultimate ticket otherwise you might be better with a cheaper ticket. The ultimate ticket is the most expensive but also the most inclusive. The flexiticket is a must.
There are lots of other things in Florida too. Kennedy Space Centre, Discovery Cove (Dolphin swim), shopping and dinner shows. You will need to decide whether you can fit these in although if it is your first trip you will struggle to manage Disney and Universal/IOA/Seaworld without packing anything else in.
Oh and you want need pool heat. It will be scorching!
Don't forget to fill out your online esta form before travelling too.0 -

This is what i have, Villa for 9 which includes 5 adults 3 kids aged 13 - 16 and 1 infant for 15 days which costs just under £1000 in Kissimmee with private pool etc.
A 12 seater car will cost us around £750 including insurance, i shopped around and this was as best i got.
Can't comment on flights as im going from Glasgow but a budget of around £500 - £600 wouldn't surprise me.
In essence i'd say anything less than £6000 is a bargin, especially in July.0 -
Just a quick tip.
I go every January, the parks are empty (takes approx a day per park to go on everything), its always been gorgeous at about 27c, never once has it rained. And flying with Virgin is never more than about £320pp. The villa for 2 weeks is never more than £600 and the car (luxury) £300.
I have been in August and it rained daily, was too hot to be bothered to do anything, the parks were heaving and it cost some 200/300% more.
I don't see the reasons to go in August. If you go Jan and have kids the kids only miss the first few days of school.
Here is what i usually do:
days 1 - 3: Disney park 9am then go for lunch and to waterpark afterwards.
4: Clearwater
5 - 6: Catch up on any parts of parks missed.
7: Free day
8: Universal
9:Universal
10/11: Miami & Everglades
12: Disney parks (usually shows)
13: Clearwater
14: Shopping & Home
That includes going on absolutely everything in Disney and Universal. If you didn't fancy Miami & Evergaldes then you have 2 free days.
By going in Jan you get so much more for your money and you still get all the Christmas lights and parades.
nb: Ive heard OCT is just as good.0 -
As is Easter but again not cheap. The summer is great if you can take the heat and afford the extra expense.0

I can second that, Oct is a great time of year to go, not too hot, little rain and it is cheap as long as you avoid halloween.0 -

If only we could go any other time than August. Our Headteacher is happy to allow holidays; I doubt she'd be quite as understanding if I didn't turn up for work though! I would love to be able to avoid school holidays and the huge price hikes that go with them but not everyone has a choice.0 -

Currency is a bt volitile just now so prices are high, the Flexticket plus is around £50 higher this year than last so hold off till the currency improves which it should do substantially near the end of this year hopefully. There are plenty places out there selling them, a quick internet search will find these places. I used a site called orlando ticket deals who were very good. I don't like pointing people away but try the dibb forum for info it's very good.0
