I like the location of the Dolphin/Swan, pop on a boat and you are at Epcot or the Studios and at night stroll round to the Boardwalk area for a drink, an ice cream at Beaches and Cream or simply to people watch.
Many thanks, Edinburghlass.:hello: Great sugestion. We don't necessarily need/want the grown up atmosphere but had wondered if the reasonable quote for the Dolphin/Swan (with location and comfy sounding beds) was worth taking over a moderate Disney Hotel. We hadn't even thought about the option you suggest - will definitely be looking into it now.:T0 -
I've been keeping tabs on this thread with regards to reasonable places to eat but now I'm looking for something a little bit more upmarket. It will be our 5th anniversary when we're away and I'd like to know of somewhere which is a bit better than the standard fare but nothing too high class that we'd have to dress up too much.....I know I'm a woman and should take outfits for all occassions but I'd rather not have to take extra clothes and shoes if this is the only night I'd be wearing them:p0

The plan has changed a bit since then - 2 tier system now, basic and one with table service meal - we go in August and are staying for 16 nights at the Port Orleans FQ with DDP (it was a free add on last September) and am already planing the parks and were to eat/make reservation. If you do do it with table service option try to fit in some al a carte restaurants as the buffets and 'family style' character meals can be a bit samie!
Wolfgang puck was great at DTD. You def save money this way.0 -
Hi There
Just thought I would let you know it will be our 3rd Anniversary while we are there and we are planning to go to the Makahiki Luau Dinner Show apparently this is really good. you cant check it up on tripadvisor.

LOL
Are you looking on or off Disney?
Off Disney I have heard great things about Seasons 52
On property I would say either Tutta Italia or The Yatchtsman or Le Celier at Epcot Canada or even Cal Grill - all yummy.

Hi, been reading this thread for a while, great info. Im off in April to Orlando, taking our son who is 2. Myself and the wife have been several times before, so we have done all the major parks before.
Does anyone know how much the Disney parks charge for a 1 day entry at the gate? We only want to do 2 or possibly 3 Disney parks (MK and a water park), any info would be greatly received.0 -

It wouldn't really matter. We're staying at the Regal Sun in Lake Buena Vista and will have a car so I don't mind.0 -

It's currently $79.88 for an adult one day pass into Magic Kingdom ($67.10 for a child).
$42.60 adult, $36.21 child for a one day waterpark ticket.
These will be plus tax and do not include hopping (hopping adds about $50 per ticket).xxx Nikki xxx0 -

Thanks for the replies. Thank god my son is just under 3, but for the occasional visitor Disney dont represent good value does it? They want you to spend 14 days trudging round their parks dont they?0
