Check out Tripadvisor for breakfast buffets/ restaraunts in that area.Sometimes there are local restaraunts not chains that offer gr8 value.:oPlease can anyone recommend a nice place to eat a breakfast buffet (4 adults, 4 kids) and apporx cost near Oranage Tree, Clermont.
I was told either Sizzler or Ponerosa are 'reasonable value'.
Thanks in advance.0 -
I am travelling in July to Florida with two other adults are there any discounts for buying the flexi ticket plus with the Disney 14 day ultimate ticket as far as I can see it will cost me £428 for the two tickets per person.
Thank you0 -
As for the eating out there isn't a problem having to book unless you are going to some of the extremely popular "named" restaurants. e.g. you'd expect to have to book in advance at the Ivy in London.
Hi
Many thanks for your reply on this - greatly appreciate it - I get the picture a lot more clearly now (I was definitely over-reacting on the dining reservations front! :rotfl: ).
Thanks for the many suggestions - it is really helpful - we will definitely keep those in mind. :T0 -

Hi
In may I'm stopping at the comfort inn in LBV and would like opinions on this hotel. The reviews are mixed but just wanted a place pretty close to the action.
I've been to Orlando loads but never to this hotel. I know they are part of the same group that owns the Rosen, QIP (quality inn plaza) on idrive and hence picked them thinking I know what to expect.
Can anybody tell me what snacks they sell in the bar. I know you can order pizza in the QIP at night and was wondering if the same if true at the comfort inn. I know the bar doesnt close until late for example.
Thanks

OK lots of questions there, lets see....
I will start from the bottom and work up (scrolling back see)
- Disney dining - for some really nice experiences and some charater meals you will need to book yes BUT you do not need to book everything.
- on or off property - this is a long debate and I have done both many times. Yes for a holiday and a Disney holiay I think on prooperty uis wonderful but that comes at a price. The Disney resorts are just that resorts, they have everything you need and the transfers to the parks are seemless. Your room key can be your park entrance etc, you cna have all of your items you buy shipped to your room etc etc. The service is exceptional and they make every effort to you having a great time.
However there is nothing wrong with staying off site and some of the hotels like the Comfort Inn LBV the Marriott Village etc are great places
So hope that helps
Craig
Hi Craig :hello:
Thank you for your welcome and for all the information, advice and suggestions - it is so helpful. I have been checking out allears.net - what a great site (I found the resort fact sheets really helpful).
We probably will stay within WDW (feel more confident now that the convenience and experience for our Disney obsessed little one is probably worth the extra £££) but your alternative suggestions are great and have certainly given us something to think about. It sounds as though we will have a great time wherever we choose.
I also feel very reassured now on the dining front (can't believe I was panicking that we wouldn't be able to get anything at all to eat at Disney unless we booked it now! :rotfl: ).

If the Dolphin and/or Swan are coming up as similar price you could look at having a week there for a more grown-up atmosphere and a week at Pop Century for the little one to enjoy the Disney atmosphere. I like the location of the Dolphin/Swan, pop on a boat and you are at Epcot or the Studios and at night stroll round to the Boardwalk area for a drink, an ice cream at Beaches and Cream or simply to people watch.0 -

ok, thanks for clearing that one up Edinbrughlass:D
I'm glad it's within the rules, I know I'm a bit funny when things aren't... this forum gets spammed so often it's an easy conclusion to jump to.
My apologies to chatnionr for thinking the worst..:oMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
