Yes, we went into first choice to price up tickets and they offered us this ticket at £420.00 can't remember how much the kids one was but anyway my husband was interested cos he thought it would be better to have one ticket for everywhere but it's just a 14 day ultimate and a flexi plus ticket which as you stated if you buy separately anyway works out cheaper. I don't know how they expect to sell these obviously haven't done their homework.
Your dead right. Its a rip-off. I have stopped dealing with first choice. You've started me off! On my last trip 2 years ago I was after a deal. I told them what I was willing to pay and they priced my holiday at £2800. I had paid just under 2k for the one two years before that.
I argued with them and they were unable to give me any discount or refund. I then went down to Thomas Cook and got them to quote me for the same holiday from the first choice brochure and they offered it me at £2400. I rang First choice back and told them I had been offered it at £2300 with free transfers and she agreed in less than a second to do it cheaper.
They seem hell bent on profit and getting your holiday at the most expensive price they can sell it to you for. I went with them last time for £2300 but felt a little annoyed when they started asking me for extra cash for decent TV, drinks on the plane and reserving my seats.
This time (and I go in May) I got them to quote me and guess what it was over 3k. I went online to Virgin and did the same holiday for £700 less with reserved seats, free drinks, no-one targeting me for extra cash for an increased baggage allowance or TV.
The only downside is that First choice are the only people who fly from East Midlands to Orlando Sanford and Im having to go down to gatwick.
Sorry for the rant....0 -

Does anyone remember Boardwalk and Baseball and the Mystery Funhouse?? Quality theme parks, why did they ever have to shut down? Whenever I go I always stay at the Ramada Maingatewest on 192, it was originally called Wilson World, never had a problem with the place, fantastic rates and a quality hotel with both indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub.0

Yes i remember boardwalk and baseball, went there in 1989 - didnt it have the oldest/biggest wooden rollercoaster in the world at that time?0

anyone got any idea how much it would cost to purchase disney tickets from florida . are there any savings to be had by buying them in florida rather than buying them in advance in the UK.
The ones you buy here all include waterparks and park hopping which is great if you want those things, but if you know you won't use them doesn't seem to be much sense paying for them!
When we went last year we bought our tickets (paid in $) through the Virgin rep in Orlando and collected them at the Virgin desk at the airport when we arrived, saved a packet (although part of that was down to the $2 exchange rate!).
According to Mousesavers.com, these were the prices as of March last year. Don't know if they've gone up since then or how these compare to the tickets available in the UK now the exchange rate has dropped.Magic Your Way Base Ticket# Days, Adult price, Child (ages 3-9) price

Have just priced up the same TCD holiday (virgin now, I know) we had in august 2007 and it is £2500 dearer!!! I am thinking the DIY route might be an option, flight + villa. Can anyone advise me the cheapest time of year for flights, as we arent yet restricted to school holidays, and recommend any budget airlines, otherwise I think 2007 might be our last visit, at this rate.0

virgin atlantic will fly you there for £320 return per person. i booked our tickets (17feb -3rd March) last october. Like you say, look outside peak times and you'll get these prices.
you can get a villa for £600 for two weeks.
then it's up to you how much you think you'll spend, plus disney tickets etc etc.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -

Villa rents - better safe than sorry - there is a website that you can book through www.villarenters.com where although you book with the individual owner you have the safety of paying through the site and can see reviews etc and pay your deposit or full payment by credit card which saves you getting ripped off. I renting a 4 bed villa in Crescent Lakes for 15 nights mid May and frankly I think it was very good value @ £964.00, had early booking discount of 67.50!
Booking car hire & flights together may get further discounts, recommend Ba or Virgin it is way too long a flight for charter planes, BA do two flights most days except Sunday. My car hire through Avis for a Luxury car all in was £390 for 15 days.
Is it better to buy the Orlando flexi ticket here or in USA as dollar rate is so bad?0
