Yes i remember boardwalk and baseball, went there in 1989 - didnt it have the oldest/biggest wooden rollercoaster in the world at that time?

Yes it did, it was called the hurricane. When Boardwalk and Baseball closed down the hurricane was transfered to an Arkansas theme park and is now called the 'Arkansas Twister '!

If anyone remembers the Mystery Fun House which was directly opposite Universal Studios, here is a tribute link:

what is the weather like, and generally is it busy?

    I'm off in 13 days...
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

Cannot comment on the weather but can tell you it will be empty.

Unless you have been unfortunate enough to get there at Half Term? Might be worth checking US Schools.

If you are only planning for disney maybe try disney with your requirements?
  • Hi,

You may remember i asked a couple of weeks ago about booking a holiday to Florida.

Well it is all booked now- March 11th for 15 nights at the Port Orleans hotel.

We are going as it is my Mums birthday, and i am thinking of getting her tickets to SeaWorld as a gift- we have the Ultimate Disney ticket so this would be an extra.

I did a quick Google search and the tickets are v. expensive...anyone know where they are chepest? Also, anyone else got any other ideas instead of SeaWorld- in the party going are Me (19yo), My Sister (2yo) and My Mum and Dad (40 and 41). Ideally i would want it to cost under $100 for all 4 but this may be unrealistic...

why not stay in a disney resort.
1 you dont need a car as all the disney transport is free
2 if you only want to vist disney parks this really makes sense as guest staying in a disney hotel/resort get extra magic hours which are extra hours in the park without the general public,so less queueing to do!
3 the disney pools are great and the disney water parks are evn better, so why pay for a pool if your going to only go to disney, then you can buy the disney ultimate ticket which will allow you to get in all parks as many times as you want.
4 your on property and thats always favourable, you can have your purchases sent back to your room free of charge, so no need to lug your souveniors around all day. you get prefence when booking meals, you can add your tickets and a credit card to your disney room card, so you only need to go out with that!
not that ima disney fan or anything (!) but the disney allstar resorts are great value for money
