hi, i am hoping to take my daughter who will be 5 and my husband for their first trip to florida at some point next year (i went about 15 years ago), just wondering how you people are already booking for next oct/dec? the websites i have looked at only seem to go up to april? am i missing something?
also, as little un starts school this sept we are restricted to the school summer holiday dates (looking to depart sometime between july 20th and august 20th) so has anyone got a rough idea of what a good price to pay would be? it's a long time since we've been abroad and i don't want to get ripped off!
many thanks
as i drove out of the airport the in-car thermometer read 106ºf, and this was at about 6.30 pm0 -

AI know its not ideal but some people work out if they are going to get fined by teh school what the fine is and work out the saving for going outside the holidays. May be worth a look.
Where I live it is £100, per parent, per child, so for a two children and two parents family the penalty would be £400.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Just after some help/advice really!
Looking to book a holiday to WDW in for March of this year, covering the 23rd as that is my Mums birthday and she wants to be there for it, we have been quoted in the region of £5,000 as it is for 3 adults and 1 child for 14 nights, and this is without food! We want to stay in the resort itself so that is partly why the price is so high,
However when looking around I found the hotel- Pop Century- and this seemed quite a bit cheaper- has anyone been there and would they recommend it? Also, i was on the Thomas Cook website and in its 'Highlights' for the hotel is said that there was Free Car Rental and also Disney Dining Plan, has anyone booked with Thomas Cook, as when i went to the final page it never mentioned anything of the two, which i thought was a bit odd?
Btw, i was quoted £2,977 for two weeks in Pop Century but that is leaving in May which is not ideal but if nothing else cheaper appears...
Thanks for any help!
we are going in may as it seems acheap time to go and disney seem to put alot on duing may time, epcot hold the flower and gardens festival and disny hollywood studios are doing the very popular staw wars weekend where its all star wars themed! plus might be some princess and parties going on too.
i havent stayed at the pop century resort but i have stayed in the other value resorts of the all stars, and they are egt what you pay for, its a basic room, but great pools and food courts, a bar arcade room so plenty to do if you dont want to go to a park and have a chill out day.
for me its just somewhere to sleep as its the cheapest disney resort, with free transportation to the parks. im guessing pop is probably built to the same standard, altho the views from your room might not be upto much as they started buliding another resort a few years ago, but have left it half done! try all stars you love it!
we booked ours through jetsave and was about £4000 for 6 adults not including park tickets, and no car dont need one the free transport is more than enough on holiday0 -
If you're sold on a Disney hotel you should click on this link:
http://www.disneyworldoffer.co.uk/
Disney are doing 14 nights for the price of 10 and adding a free extra 7 days on park tickets. You can book direct with Disney or via links to their UK travel partners. IMO for better value you'd be best to book the hotel and tickets via Disney and a fly drive separately. Good luck!

We're going to Florida in June and have already sorted out flights. I'd appreciate advice on hotels and locations. Virgin has a deal for the Rosen Plaza on ID for £750 for the fortnight. This looks OK but I'm not sure whether the location is good or whether there are better similarly priced alternatives in better locations. We will be going to the parks but are not park fanatics, my wife and daughter are more interested in shopping!
Thanks in advance.

Really do not be afraid of going to Tampa. The immigration is much easier and the drive is only 1hr and 15m to Orlando from Tampa. The car hire is much quicker too.
Please check out the prices. The airport code is TPA
Thanks cjd. Manchester is a lot more convenient for us, but if the savings make it worthwhile I am sure we could manage the trip to Gatwick for Tampa flights.Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T0 -

Hi John,
Haven't stayed at the rosen plaza personally, however it is in a nice location. If we are staying on I Drive we always try to book a hotel at this end as it is nice and quiet

This map will give you an idea of the location. Its very close to Seaworld, the downside is there is not many restaurants etc around that end, so you would have to travel further along for a better selection.

Hi John also
If 750 is the all in price thats about 80 bucks a night which is not too bad at all.
If you are having a car then the location is really not that much of an issue. If you do not have a car then the lynx buses serve i drive and can get you up and down etc. Here is some info on the buses http://www.golynx.com/?id=1155570
