  • I booked my Disney and orlando flextickets with Travel City Direct on Aug 21st. They have sent me the tickets in like an invoice format, does this mean they have paid for the tickets already? Or have I lost the money, and are tickets like this covered by ATOL?
Tesco Deals Vouchers : £1500 in deals used towards Florida 2010 honeymoon and £318 towards Wedding rings in Goldsmiths - Thanks to all Tesco points savers who helped me along the way!

You need to check with the parks direct as it appears some of them are and some of them are not accepting the vouchers as they wont have been paid for the passes from TCD.

First call should be to ring the relevant parks.

Thanks, but disney are refusing to comment at the moment. they told me to check the CAA website!!! We haven't got a problem with our flights :-s. They won't even look up our ticket booking.

Please, please, please does anyone have a number for the orlando flexiticket people? I can't find a number anywhere!!!

  • My friend heard the news after work this morning and has spent the day trying to rearrange his families December holiday instead of getting some well earned rest.

Further to my earlier comment above, my friend managed to book flights with another operator but has noticed this afternoon that the price has risen by over £ 100 per person. Easy money to be me thinks !!!

    hugh

Quick question. I am really with 2 minds about car hire. Cheapest I can find for 12 days for a family of 5 is £245 with a company I have heard of before. Don't want to go with the ACME Hire Car Inc. I know taxis can be expensive but also we don't arrive until 11pm which will be 4am our time and I dont know if I fancy trying to get to the hotel at that time on the wrong side of the road.

Anyway the question is does the noraml "yellow cab" take 5 passengers?

    Hi there

A few questions before I can offer detailed advice..... Is this your first time? If so then I have a few suggestions (same as things in previous posts but its a mind field going back over this forum for answers I know).

Car hire, if you have five people its no so much fitting those five people in a car but its the luggage space. Let me give an example, if you hire a minivan mor often than not you will get a Dodge Caravan which seats 7 in comfort. You will be lucky though to get a suitcase in teh boat if all seven are seated. So make sure you get a big enough car for the luggage.

Second thing is palces to try. There are only probably five or six rental companys. Lots of others are brokers mind you in light of the poor souls and XL sopme may be scary of brokers. However they all issue you a voucher immeadiatly and if you always pa by a credit card yo uwill be OK,. So I would ussgedt you comapre your quote against quotes scarhore.com; https://www.usrentacar.com or https://www.airlinenetwork.co.uk for a few. These4 all use either Dollar or alamo whicha re fine.

As for getting a cab, no a standard yellow cab will take 4 passengers. So you will need a van, dont worry there are lots of them around. However I would never use a cab when you can use Tiffanys for less and they will meet you at baggae claim and carry your bags for you. https://www.tiffanytowncars.com

    Hope this helps.

As for the 11pm, thats shocking, poor you. I woud lsay that the airport is a lot quieter at night. between 4-7pm is madness but I have arrived mandy times at that time at night from my office in Chicago and its a breeze, but that does not help if you have not driven before and its dark etc.

Where is your hotel? Sometimes you can even get them to collect you (for a fee).
    Cheers
