Bullying and Undermining

Well here's the rub about that....
If you SUE the company, or go to Employment Tribunal, you'll come into contact with neutral third party people who will have the same skeptical thoughts. We aren't skeptical because we don't believe you, but rather because there isn't much meat on the bones of your complaint and nobody in this world is perfect (so it is not unconceivable that you ARE performing below par). More so when you openly admit that YOU make mistakes.
Also, does this above sentence suggest that you grass on colleagues? I'd be careful there, as it is possible that the employer see you as someone who *should* be setting an example for others by NOT MAKING MISTAKES (so glad you readily admitted to making them here), so when you make one (and you grass on others) it sort of doesn't set the right tone. "Practice what you preach" etc.
Anyways, it sounds like you have done your own research so not much more we can add here aside from either experience or opinions as to whether you have a worthwhile case to pursue; I'm about 75% in favour of you just getting your head down and seeking a new job and/or learning how to manage the managers better in your work. 25% would be making initial enquiries to the likes of ACAS and maybe CAB for some more advice. You could also potentially speak to a solicitor, though no-win-no-fee may not touch you and a paid-for one may exaggerate your chances of winning (to keep you paying them).
PS, bear in mind that the energy you put into replying to my post here could be better spent updating your CV or filling in an application form.
Anyone make a mistake (it is different from poor performance) and in team working, colleagues will find the mistakes of the others to improve the overall performance. Actually, it is part of the job. I cannot see why you found it strange!
your good point was to get advice from someone WHO KNOWS. thank you. I myself reached that decision by reading the comments here. thank you0 -

Just read this thread from scratch to now.
My observation is that it's apparent the only person WHO KNOWS what advice you want to hear is you.0 -
I find it an odd concept to consider what is bullying by comparing how other people are treated. Some people bully everyone around them. Other times some employees will be treated well and others treated even better - so treated differently but nobody bullied. But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

No one banned me from joining those useless unions comrade and I never want them to act in the favor of collective workers or proliferate.
your reply is showing very well that this forum is of no more help as the best thing you can think of is joining a union????
1) I'm not your comrade.
2) I've not suggested joining a union, just stating you can join one contrary to your suggestion the organisation you work for doesn't recognise them.
3) You expect help for free from strangers to stage manage an unfair dismissal claim.
4) You cannot see the root cause of your problems.Originally Posted by shortcrust

I felt bullied in my last job and left in the end as I was so unhappy and it was making me ill so I know how it can make people feel.
The difficulty is proving it though. I raised my concerns with HR and was told it was my word against the manager.
The best thing to do would be to keep an accurate record of what is happening. Record the date and exactly what was said. Ensure you take steps to fix this ( things such as your project being under resourced) By speaking to your line manager or the managers could just say you never raised any concerns. Actually do this by email so you have evidence.
It's coming across to me that you feel you are being treated less favourably than others. If you can gather evidence then it might be worth raising a claim for discrimination if you have a protected characteristic that you believe is causing the different treatment. Again you need some evidence though.
If you take action do it whilst still in post. Leaving and then complaining won't have the same weight. employment law in the UK is pretty good but as with any prosecution you do have to have water right evidence and that's the tough thing when dealing with bullies. They can know how to get to you without making it too obvious to everyone else.
Good luck with the job sesrch, life is too short to be unhappy in work.0 -
joining a union???? you better not reply anyone as I asked you before because you should have known not all professions have a sort of those collective unions.
Based on your ill-informed and useless reply, nothing can be classified as harassment, bullying or discrimination as employers can do as they wish. Please before posting replies, read some relevant legal website to learn the meaning of these concepts. Also, I did not admit any poor performance, dont know from where did you get it???
I asked about similar experiences of others as these forums are for that reason. I did not ask for your useless opinion and judgement. Your comments show your only job is just posting here to get more stars.
I love this reply to Sangie..... 'Read some legal websites'....
I would love to hear you speaking to a solicitor when they don't say what you want to hear.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

suspect that a paid-for solicitor would just sit and nod to OP, feeding them just enough to keep them happy (and paying) without being liable for misrepresenting their chances of winning.0 -
From reading this thread I'm pretty sure what the problem is although, also from reading this thread, I'm pretty sure the OP won't agree with it.0

Are you asking for more staff, or presenting a detailed resource plan with options of project completion and timeline against staffing numbers which you could then discuss with boss?
If interviews happen, do staff just not want to work for you (on a under erforming team?)
You need a more structured argument than the general complaining you seem to be doing here.
Do you have actual facts, data and statistics instead of just your opinion nd their opinion?
A decent project manager has detailed requirements scoped.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
You know what? I suspect I know why the OP can't manage to get any staff, and why their employer doesn't like them.0
