The fate of May?

Always someone else's fault isn't it.
If this Brexit lark is so easy maybe some of the leading Brexiteers should give it a go rather than sitting sniping from the sidelines and blaming everyone else for the inevitable ensuing mess.
Frankly it's disgraceful that Brexit was not allowed to be overseen by MP's and civil servants that either actually agreed with the vote or were themselves pro-leave.
IMHO it's akin to the Tories winning a GE and giving all ministerial positions to Labour MP's.0 -
It looks like May will survive a leadership challenge if it doesn't happen on Monday. Tbh the real dilemma will be the general election whenever that happens....I'm stuck between voting for a government who has effectively sold us out or one which will destroy the country and make us the next Venezuela!!! can't wait.0

Nice hyperbole. You must read the mail.0 -

It's not hyperbole if it's fact though, is it?
Now see if you can point out what was incorrect in there because it does indeed look like May will survive any immediate leadership challenge (nobody wants the poisoned chalice).
So far at least it does look like the government are disregarding a democratic vote.
And lastly Labour's spending plans would indeed quite possibly lead to great difficulties for the UK; they seem not to have learned from the "there's no cash left in the kitty" fiasco and are determined to spend even more if they actually get another chance.
So please feel free to point out what was wrong with zarf2007's post instead of simply providing your own hyperbole.0 -

This is nonsense. Brexiteers had plenty of opportunity after Cameron ran away the day following the referendum. Farage ran away. Boris didn’t bother to stand for the leadership, Gove gave up, Leadsom gave up. Davies did nothing for two years, then ran away. Raab decided he didn’t like the deal he himself had negotiated and ran away. Rees-Mogg didn’t even bother trying to have an opportunity - preferring to snipe from the sidelines whilst moving part of his business to Dublin to ensure it was still within the EU.
The Leavers have bought this omnishambles on us all, and they should never be forgiven for it.0 -

Isn't popular enough to be considered. Arguably old school, i.e. Eton old boy. Politics has changed .0 -

To use your own terminology this is nonsense.
It's patently obvious who has been controlling policies regarding Brexit by the spewing-forth of multiple lies, ridiculous predictions and actions to subvert democracy since the referendum.
Remainers have tried at every step - by means fair or foul - to deny the outcome of a democratic vote and it is now obvious that there is no way would they allow any Brexiter to be genuinely in charge of Brexit.
Thus the omnishambles is without any doubt the fault of the denialist remainers.
Wait until the poop really hits the fan if (and fortunately it's looking like a big "if") the BRINO draft gets agreed, because I for one would not be at all surprised if at the next GE there is a massive resurgence and Farage becomes PM because the others could not be trusted with democracy.0 -

What are the fair means or foul? There's Gina Miller who insisted Parliament have a vote on Article 50 and used her own money to do so, which was legally upheld in a British court of law. (I suppose British courts of law are still allowed to rule on British law, or should this now all be decided by an online poll on the dailymail.com?)
Followed immediately by her and the justices who ruled being denounced as enemies of the people by Leave. For insisting that the British parliament follow British laws.
I can't think of what else has upset you. There was a general election, where people voted, and then we've all been waiting for over two years for something else to happen, and now it has and it's awful.0 -

It was not based on the referendum because the political parties are not associated with a leave or remain stance.
That's where it all went a bit pear-shaped and that is the main reason IMHO that the result was so split.
Purposely it now appears.The_Big_Seedy_Bun wrote: ».....and now it has and it's awful.
Don't you know the difference between proposing something and it actually happening?
There seems no point in going into how remainers are trying to subvert democracy because some are hell-bent on ignoring all that is not pro-EU.
There's loads of evidence, so it's obviously such pro-remain people with their blind bias that are responsible for the increasing division in this country.
As said earlier, I hope they enjoy being responsible when Farage becomes PM because remainers in all major parties are distrusted by a public that wasn't given what they voted for.0 -

Go and read this, it might help you understand how the brexiteers have continually failed to take any responsibility for the chaos they have created.

And today, they are still doing it. They are nowhere near the 48 letters to the 1922 committee to initiate a no confidence vote - to paraphrase Sir Robin’s minstrels: “when opportunity reared its ugly head, they bravely turned their tails and fled”. And, just like you, they will try and blame anybody but themselves.0
