  • Good morning everyone - hope all are well and hugs to everyone struggling.

Fayolle, you are well ahead of me! All I have done is opened a couple of windows!
I don't think I will get much done today as it is a busy work day, I have to visit my mother, and also run a couple of errands - but maybe ...

Pigpen, well done on the BMI - a fantastic achievement. You sound so organised about Christmas! I won't have to do stockings this year, as my babies are all in their 20s, just one present each not too expensive.
DH family do Secret Santa which is easier. I wish my family would! And DH has been doing extra days in the wine shop - he gets a discount and so it'll be something in a bottle for as many people as possible, so that comes out of his money. ;):rotfl:

Hope everyone has a good day :)
  • Pigpen, well done on the green zone BMI. Green zone is just a dot on the horizon for me!

Bedding washed yesterday and is drying now on clothes horse. Plan tonight is to iron it if it's dry. Other plans tonight are:
    Sweep living room and kitchen
    Clean fire place and surround
    Chill in the bath

I am away this weekend from tomorrow afternoon as it's my birthday on Monday so nowt will be done once I finish tonight's chores until Tuesday.

Next week I want to have a think about morning and night-time routines properly. I have been adding in some small bits into my morning but I have no night time routine to speak of.
  • Morning all.

I'm quite pleased with my personal flying today:

Wm x3 all hung up (1 outside, 2 inside)
Both ovens coated in cleaning gunk (will sort this out this evening after Pickle is in bed)
    Dw filled, run & empties
    Tidied round the house.
Pickle dropped off at the Childminder's

    Not bad for 10am.

Work this afternoon so need to start getting ready in about an hour.

Hubby grunting & groaning trying to sort the zip on his stupidly overful 'work bag' it was a freebie from a conference he worked on a few weeks back and decided to use this one a little bit to spite me (he was in one of those moods, he's not normally like that)
But it is in no way designed to carry the amount of cr*p he has in it. Now he's getting cross & grumpy with it.

So now he's gone upstairs to get his original one out of the wardrobe and judging by the crash I've just heard he's pulled everything out and not put anything away. (Let's see if I can cope with leaving it until he gets home tomorrow to put it all away.)
    Idiot!

Now I'm cross that he's being an idiot, grrrrrr

    Later people!

    Wish.

  • Sorry I've been absent. Minimal flying done this week as I've been enjoying my time off from work.
Also found out yesterday that bf has been messaging other women on a dating site. Stupid burk sent my friends (grownup) daughter a message and she let me know.
He says it was only messages and would never have gone any further. I don't know, my heads in a mess.
If I wasn't so upset, it would be funny, as he is terrible at keeping secrets. I'm always finding his junk food statches, and he'll let slip birthday/xmas presents etc. How did he ever think he could hide an affair?!
We have a house and a dog together, and I love him, so I'm torn between staying and going.

It has made me think of all the crud I have, if it gets to me moving out, so I've been throwing stuff away today. - Broken printer, old magazines etc. So I'm classing that as my flying for today.

    Goodness men are thick!!!!

Why can they not appreciate when they have someone who loves them and puts up with all their really irritating habits and they have to spoil it with their idiocy.

    What is wrong with them?

It is very good that the friends daughter let you know, most people would stand by and ignore your humiliation.. that is a true friendship right there!!

I'd put parental settings on his computer so you got a log of all sites he had visited .. though that doesn't help if it is on his phone.. Only you can make the decision about where your relationship goes but from experience.. they don't change!!

He probably just wanted his ego stroking and to be reassured he isn't old and unattractive and to check he still 'has it' ... They are so weird!!

((((hugs galore)))) .. Take some time and some space to think about what you want.. it is now entirely your decision. xxx much love xxx

I'm annoyed he put her in that awkward position. She was really upset that she had to break the news to me. I did appreciate her telling me.

It was on his phone. At first I thought someone had fished his photo so I asked her to send him a message to get more info (ask his job etc). He was at work at the time, when she asked if he was *name* he replied back "can we keep this between us" and started deleting his photos etc.
I've never been the type to check up a partners phone or pc, and I don't want this to turn me into that.

Raphael - (((hugs))). What Piggers said (and kudos to friend's daughter) but maybe time for a conversation about what he wants his future to be like?
Don't, however, give him an ultimatum unless you plan to follow through. When I gave my exOH an ultimatum I knew we were probably at the end...

In other news back from course nice and early; clothes ironed. Going to do a bit of clutter clearing now.

It seems I have just been awarded a recycling badge! not sure what I have done to earn it, but I do recycle and re use stuff where possible, and I hate buying veg / fruit in plastic

Work done, feel very tired tonight, I think it is driving in the dark back from work in the dark that is doing it.

Testosterone spurt in four year old boys is a myth.

Recently, one of our friends here was describing her four year old's meltdown, I think it was A Typical Blonde, and another member, Jojo The Tight Fisted I believe, gave out some incorrect info and I politely want to correct this.

According to Professor Kate Steinbeck, endocrinologist and specialist in adolescent medicine at the University of Sydney, the testosterone rush or spurt in boys at the age of four is a myth.
She categorically demolished the assertion in an article for the Conversation.com.

It's important to set the record straight, I think.

Hope the links are helpful for the background to this:

    http://sydney.edu.au/medicine/people/academics/profiles/katharine.steinbeck.php
    and
    https://theconversation.com/health-check-do-boys-really-have-a-testosterone-spurt-at-age-four-82587

Any parent or grandparent of very young boys will perhaps find Prof Steinbeck's article of interest. It is very readable.
  • No flying today - barely got off the ground! It was a bit of a rush this morning, and then I was so exhausted after I got back from work that all I wanted to do was sit on the sofa. But I have made a bit of progress with my quilt, so not all bad. Tomorrow is another day!:undecided
